  • Yeah, I hate to tell you this, but the other people below are correct, that is not 2 cords of wood. When a person sells you cords of wood, he/she should stack it for you, not just dump it. Oldest firewood scam in the book.

  • It all depends on what kind of wood you are burning. You say you were cruising threw it pretty quickly. The wood you received looked like a soft wood That burns quick, like burning cardboard, don't last very long. Don't know what kind of wood is available in you area but a hard wood would be best to heat your house.Oak is damn good, ceder not to bad, but it stinks when burnt, elm is great because it produces more BTU per cord. If you want to melt your stove down, burn osage orange :)

  • Oops, I meant to say two cords should measure 4x8x8, sorry.

  • That is not two full cords, a cord is 4x4x8. That looks to be only a cord and a half. Two cords would have been 8x8x8 and be six rows. But anyway sty warm.

  • more videos of cats please thanks

  • That should last awhile. You should check some vids on stacking wood, then you would'nt need the rocks and supports on the ends. You should stack the ends like a log cabin.

  • did you guys buy that or get it free??

  • @eddie1134

Yes we paid for the lot - wish it was free! :-)

  • Great video!! Hows the wood burning going? Wood Heat . ORG is a wonderful site full of knowledge on proper wood burning techniques. You might find it enjoyable. Also, when you stacked that two cords, what did each of your rows measure? Bests.. Shane

Wood Burning is going great. It was a little moist but overall it burns well. Thinking about getting a stove fan. Not exactly sure what the stacks measured when all was said and done.

    Thanks for the kudos.

  • Crap that's a lot of wood, my 2100 sq ft house never takes more than 3/4 of a chord to heat all winter.

  • @rtwpsom2

It does seem to be a lot, but we're cruising through it pretty quickly. We are really trying not to turn on the furnace, although soon enough I think we'll set it to turn on automatically a little before we wake up as the house is getting chilly in the morning and the stove takes a little while to heat up.

  • @StoryandBirch what about a rocket stove with a cob bench....
