there are some really weird comments on why he says bruises prove its real its a play on words because he's 'falling' and it proves it is real because he is 'falling and getting bruises'. Also I think its to do with the bad things that come with falling int love though I am not sure. Hope I helped anyone x

No, I think it means that just like bruises show that you were hit by someone or got hurt. They prove that you're not just making it up. I think that's what it means; that he is really falling in love with that person.
