  • no offence to sokoudju but i think i could have locked in that first rear naked choke

  • This is just strange, 1st round was ok. but Sokou wasn't that exhausted in 2nd round. I think the company ask Sokou to lose. but Minowa don't want to win with any shit 'cause I know he's a good man. and Minowa was hesitaing and both are pushed by judge. finally Minowa decided to attack him(he might thought Sokou will resist).

anyway he became winner but Minowa really looks like got a sin. he didn't do his own perfomance(8 times standing fist or something). 'cause at least he has conscience.

  • @eastpaw1 did u see sokou fight houstan alexander?he beat the shit out of houston but they wouldnt stop it

he has been screwed a few times

  • @eastpaw1 he DID lose to houston alexander recently.

  • minowaman rulez great heart

  • No tak niema to jak azjatyckie komentarze...heheh

  • Yo that was fuckin ILL!!!!!

  • @321quixote

    myślę że masz całkowitą racje

  • Minowaman looks like he's trying to smuggle a parrot in his pants

  • Boring, fcuk fight

  • Horrible stoppage. Japanese shouldn't be allowed to be refs or judges, they're always bias.

  • Worst stoppage I have ever seen. Clear ref bias towards Minowaman.

  • @John845

try watch the first fight between sakuraba and marcus silveria.i guarentee it will be in your no.1 list of worst stoppage

  • What a frustrating fight to watch. After 2 yellow cards they still didnt want to touch each other. I thought sokoudjou had the fight until the end. Nice KO.

  • esse camarones e bom lutador, espancou o arona.

  • This fight was definantly not fake. Was it an early stoppage....maybe, but I've seen worse in Pride and the UFC. Minowaman has heavy hands and that shot clearly landed on Soku's chin.

  • i think that it wuz a good call by the ref. Im not saying that cuz im not a nuthugger like most of the people on youtube. I just think that sokoudjou would be in the same spot as where he got ground n pounded by houston alexander. If the ref didn't stop it then it could have been a bad night for sokoudjou.

  • sokaju was still willing to fight

  • OH the fights are brutal and REAL but the OUTCOME is rigged. The action is insane but the outcome is always determined before the bout.

  • @eldamus WWE is on a different page

  • so fake.

  • you know dream is rigged just like pride right?

  • @eldamus Yep just like ufc and elite xc they all have highly questionable bouts

  • @eldamus proof?

  • @eldamus ur fake dream and pride are the most brutal mma in the world

  • MINOWA!!!!!!!

  • it looked like a "work"

  • hahahahaha that girl talking is funny "hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii"

  • How DARE he give Minowaman yellow cards! Minawa just being in the ring is more than enough excitement.

And lmao @ Minowaman TKOing Soko out of nowhere.

  • He was paid to throw the bout

  • Minowaman is a superman, and Sokudju is verry scared of him))

  • I think Sokoudjou could still fight, but Minowaman, well he's Japanese fighter and this is Japan :) It explains everything

  • Minowa is fucking crazy! Love watching his fights!

  • Minowa is so uneven in his performance, I don't know why. Mad props to the only guy in MMA still wearing speedo's. :)

  • ikuhisa is a bad ass

  • sokoudjou got fucked up with that combo, he wasnt getting back up any time soon

  • WTF

  • Soko was down for the count! he was not going to get up, plain and simple. Jsut look at how his legs broke down in an awkward way from under him. To stand up he'd have to drop both hands to place on the floor and push off of. Not easy when your getting punched in the face. plus Minowaman woulda won either way.

  • 2:57

  • lol, thats some bullshit stoppage

  • early stoppage... still sokoudjou used to be more aggressive

  • Early stoppage.

I grow tired of watching japanese refs rob non-japanese fighters.

  • wow crushing left hook.good stoppage he went down like a ballerina.wasnt expecting that from minowaman hes mosstly a submission guy.but wow.

  • Sok fell like a ton of bricks. maybe a little early, but minowa was about land bombs on him and sok would have been stuck against the ropes with his knee bent all weird. I think he ref saved him from a horrible beating at the end.

  • @yellowsneakers234 If you fight against a japanese fighter .... in japan... you can't get dropped even once -------- or the japanese ref will immediately jump in.

but if you are Minowa... or Sakuraba.. or any Japanese fighter... you can get dropped... be tko'd... and the ref will either let you get punched on until you clear your head and defend... or he'll break it up... and call a foul... for some non-sensical reason.. (either a "hitting the groin," or "punching the back of the head").

  • @KeyboardPacifist @KeyboardPacifist

yeah?watch Alistair Overeem vs Kazuyuki Fujita..the way fujita fall has the same pattern with the way sukoudju fall.

  • @gungrave10 Seen it. Been watching shooto and mma religiously since 1996. Have trained and been involved with kickboxing since the late 80s.

His "fall'..'pattern" ? lol. Yeah, you don't understand the anatomy of a knockout. He got clipped by a hook. His brain had a shock and disrupted the signal to his lower CNS. He didn't go out. He had a disruption. Do we know if he couldnt defend himself? No. We saw him cover up. We saw him react immediately after hitting the ground.

  • @KeyboardPacifist

yes, youre right.but not many fighters can recover from a "disruption".even if the referee did give jap an advantage, the only fighter that did recover after being hit many times is only sakuraba.as you know, sokoudjou, dont have the same toughness as sakuraba.when he fall,he already give submission specialist like minowa a lot of advantage just from being on the ground.but, yes,it is an early stoppage.and pls tell me which fighter is being rob by the jap ref bias decision.

  • @gungrave10 Sakuraba is tough, but he too was given clear preferential treatment. He did NOT tap out Royler, he did NOT beat Guy Metzger, Quinton was paid to throw his fight, Kevin was paid to throw it, the Yoon Dong Sik fight was AN EARLY STOPPAGE, the Shamrock fight was an early stoppage, the Smirnovas fight was an outright atrocity.... i can go on and on. And I've been a Sakuraba fan since 1999. I modeled my submission game after him. There you go, I just named a ton of fighters robbed.

  • @KeyboardPacifist

he didnt tap royler, but did royler win that match even if that went to a decision?absolutely not.he didnt beat guy,but that fight was a draw.most straight punches mezger throw look like it did land, but the truth is only a few did.and it didnt grant enough point to beat sakuraba.quinton was paid?well, his interview proves otherwise.rindleman was paid?give me the evidance, than i believe in u.

  • @gungrave10 Thats not my point. I AM A HUGE Saku fan. I just paid 15 bucks to have some guy translate his book for me. I know every match of his - inside and out. But JAPAN and its shooto/mma org are NOTORIOUS for bias decisions and preferential treatment. They will also allow Japanese fighters to get beat down in order (ie, 2nd chances) because it is culturally expected of them. At the same time, any sign of defeat of a foreigner (even when premature) is taken ADVANTAGE of. It's not right

  • @KeyboardPacifist

ure a huge saku fans yet you give me one of the "greatest" reasons saku hater tells me.that is saku dont tap royler.for me its very stupid, especially when ure saku's fans.ur not stupid,u r smart (judging from what have u been tell me),but when u give me that reasons,u r.

  • @gungrave10 No offense .. but ..

You've got a lot to learn about Saku, about "hooking" versus "shooting" and his honor code. Because Royler didn't concede.. Saku went from shooting.. to hooking against Renzo. nuff said.

  • @KeyboardPacifist

    tell me about it..

  • @gungrave10 Not sure if you meant this as a literally request or as an affirmation. So, I'll just give a quick explanation in case the former is the intent (as the latter is a dead end :). Saku was taught by Brit/American catch freestyle/folkstyle wrestlers. There are 3 major forms. The first is the gentle amateur form in which Saku advanced (freestyle). The 2nd is shooting, which is an aggressive form of humbling an opponent -but can also be faked - from which "pro wrasslin" branches off

  • @KeyboardPacifist The 3rd is "hooking" Hooking, taught by any legit submission folkstyle wrestler (eg. Billy Robinson, Lou Thesz, Gotch bros) is what happens when the gentleman rules break down and the unspoken rule is that the fight goes until someone is hurt. Look it up, I wouldn't bother writing this unless I had first hand experience. This rule is true among the Gracies and among modern Shooto wrestlers. This is the reason that Saku hooked Renzo (because of stubborn Royler's pride)

  • @KeyboardPacifist Now, anticipating that somewhere out there, some UFC-TUF show-loving video game kid is going to rebutt with something idiotic about the 1st Royce-Saku match.. I'll just say this. If anyone wants to shut it before it starts... simply look up the Saku interviews before and after that fight (as well as the weigh-ins for Saku). Sakuraba was making a point of "grinding down" Royce because.. he thought that it was unfair for him to make his own rules/limits up.

  • @KeyboardPacifist

oh,so,saku honor code is shooting.but when he felt like losing he use hooking?

  • @gungrave10 For any Catch Wrestler (Saku, Barnett, Minowa, Suzuki, Schultz, etc) submission grappling is "shooting." You "catch" them and they submit (verbally or they tap). If however, it's been made clear that your opponent will not simply submit - then you don't give them the opportunity to back out when you make your finishing move. The move you use is specifically the end-version -which damages the joint.. rather than holding it and giving the opponent an opportunity to stall or escape.

  • @KeyboardPacifist The first 5 years of Pancrase and Shooto had this problem, where the fighters were stubbornly playing the hook game and getting hurt. The "tap" was promoted immediately in the US - so you saw this 'hook' situation rarely. There were tons of rivalries within Japan and Brazil which kept the hook going... until people started to make good money. Then .. you saw BTT, Luta Livre, Grabaka, Purebred, etc... start to put aside grudges (and hooking) and keep their pride in check

  • @KeyboardPacifist of course, this is usually just the case for orgs filled with catch guys. But the sentiment is often carried over to BJJ and Jukoka. Also, the ones who damage joints for no reason - make it pretty clear that they had nothing but malice in their intent - and that 'winning' was their goal. Sakuraba has made it clear that the opposite is true when he fights. He sticks to that code. I respect him more... than say ... Aoki, who has no code and snaps arms just because he's amped

  • @KeyboardPacifist

    oh,thanks for the great explanation..

  • @KeyboardPacifist

YDS was an early stoppages, but running and covering ur faces like that tells that u dont want to fight anymore.

  • @gungrave10 The ref knew that it was his first mma fight. Yoon shouldnt have covered up like that - I agree. But I do I think that it shows that it does not show that he doesnt want to fight - but that he may be unable to defend himself. But without letting the aggressor pick at him a bit more... (i know it sounds bad) you can NOT know if it is a lack of talent at defending.. or if Yoon actually didnt want to fight anymore. But making that assumption from that position wasnt right.

  • @KeyboardPacifist

Shamrock fight was an early stoppage, but he clearly out when he fells to the rope.y?because he spits bullshit in the post-interview fight.Setting for an ankle lock?bullshit.no mma fighter will bring their feet closer to the opponent when doing hammer fist while the opponent on all 4.the strike that sakuraba land doesnt hit clearly?bullshit.watch the replay in slow motion.and yes,his brother also said that it was justified.

  • @gungrave10 TKO'd or KO'd are very specific terms. As a lay person, it may look that way.. but fighters recognize that there are degrees of being "out" .. and how long you are "out" is EXTREMELY significant to the context of what does or does not require a stoppage. Ken, like Soko, probably would have lost a few seconds later... but they were not "out" .. they were merely stunned by a quick power-shot to the chin. The "stun" effect has a lot of varience & doesnt warrent a stoppage everytime

  • @KeyboardPacifist

ken turned away from his opponent.that gesture tells that u dont want to fight anymore.it doesnt warrent a stoppage everytime, agreed, but thats his own fault for doing that.sakuraba on the other hand, dont do that.most of jap fighters dont do that.thats the different.and when soko cover his face, his gesture is the same when he loses to mousasi.

  • @KeyboardPacifist

the fight between him and smirnovas.yes,he is being robbed.he can blame the ref.the ref are bias, yes.but, after the ref,he should blame himself because he cant finish a fighter who is just out a seconds ago.

  • @gungrave10 dude. They gave Sakuraba time to collect himself. You can't blame that on Smirnovas. It only takes some people a few seconds. And Sakuraba was "out" more so than Shamrock or Sokoukjo. lol. They gave the Japanese guy many 2nd chances in his fights... but not Shamrock or Sokoukjo, and that's my point.

  • @KeyboardPacifist

for not defeating a guy that just out a while ago because he is tired? he should blame himself more.the ref did rob him,but because he is too tired that sakurab have more time to recover perfectly.for example, when yoshida fight thompson.the same advantage had been given, but thompson doesnt tired out, continue to punish yoshida and win the matches.but i kinda agree with ur last points.that is the main point of our conversation.lol, sorry for straying to far from the topic.

  • @KeyboardPacifist stop complaining sokoudjou was done . most of the fighters will try to show that they are fine but he was done, not out.

  • @popowowow ............wow. And how long did he have to "show" that ? ......... think about it. Watch it again. The ref jumped as soon as Sok hit the mat. Watch it again.

  • early stoppage

  • @Radeo Except Sokoudjou is still sitting down at the end of the video, so no it wasn't.

  • @holidayinbiafra

he tries to get up, but the ref tells him to stay down, they converse for a bit, soon Sok is surrounded by people "tending" to him, he's resigned to sit there at this point due to the circumstances, not due to not being able to get up.

i'm a minowa fan but everything was done afterwards to make this victory look more legit than it was

  • @Radeo

Yea, even his whole corner was in on the conspiracy.

  • One of the worst stoppages ever as well, another reason why I hate FEG.

  • This was a good stoppage in my opinion. Sok's entire body went limp for a second....which is all it takes for a ref to rightfully stop a fight. His leg was crumpled beneath him and he was against the ropes. Minowa would have just dropped bombs on his head and sok would be stuck there. Look at the Yoshida vs. Rumble Johnsson fight. Yoshida was only out for a second, but it was stopped. That was a perfect stoppage too.

  • He could not even stand up or didn't appealed he was ok right after referee stopped, besides he knocked down like that.

I think referee did good job.

  • In Japanese translation: even the reporters were saying that it was too early to stop the fight.

In my opinion, better late than early, but we need to know what Sokoudjou say after the fight.

  • Are you serious. Look at what Sokoudjou did to Nog and Arona. He KO'dthem with a single shot, he has great power and is very explosive. Whats bad about him is his cardio and conditioning, hes strong for the first 5 minutes or so, but then declines afterwords. He is also passive and tentative at times which is a down fall. But he wasn't out at the end there, that was a bad stoppage, the Jap refs used to be bad at letting the fight progress a bit long, but now there stopping it too early.

  • Just saying he looked more gassed and tired then KO'd.

  • i would bet a 100 bucks if one of them went all out they would do much better.

The more they glare at each other the more tense they get and more mistakes they do.

Do you think it to understand whether you are earnest fight in this whether you are fixed fight?
