Which real touring musician tunes Live on stage Unmuted?? The 2 most popular pedal tuners of all time Pass- Thru signal is automatically muted when the tuner is on...so I am not sure what the reviewer was going with his preference.. .
For $69 to get a solid metal, casing, true bypass, daisy chain-able, large Easy to read Screen
is a true bargain
2 thumbs for GearGazm for featuring this product....give us more!!
I agree with everything you said, but I also think a second, unmuted output jack wouldn't hur and would be easy for the manufacturer to include. It's good for home playing. My old Korg DT-10 had this option. Not essential, though, I agree.
I do wish it had a stream/strobe mode, though.
I'm also very intrigued by the Pitchblack Polyphonic tuner that comes out in a few months.
Gah, it seems like a great pedal, but talk about one feature making or breaking it for me. The lack of passthrough while tuning really kills it. I guess it isn't meant for live shows. Holding one note you know is out of tune can be a killer when you can't see to fix it
Actually , my thinking is the opposite. ......perfect for live shows I prefer the tuner mutes the amp signal when tuning, How annoying and unprofessional would it be to hear a musician tuning in between songs? I can't recall the last time I went to a concert and HEARD the musicians tuning up in between songsa
I am totally agree with you BigTunezz!! There's a reason why the major and top selling Quality Pedal tuners signal is automatically muted when the tuner is on...it's a benefit
The GoGo Pedal Tuner, Boss TU3 and the Korg Pitchblack signals are automatically muted when the tuner is on as well...so it's actually perfect for stage. Just my opinion
@Zas379 Well I like the design of the korg and it has a few more settings but is also about 20 bucks more. I feel the gogo is a little easier to read with the green you're in red you're out motto. They both only work in a muted setting which might have to do with the true bypass functionality but I'm not positive on that one. I'd say if you're looking for a basic easy to read tune, go with the gogo. If you need a few more tuning options and don't mind spending the extra 20 then the korg.
I agree with GearGazm...if you want an accurate , Extremely Easy to read Chromatic tuner than go with the GoGo. If you think you may need extra tuning options but a smaller and a bit confusing display than the Korg would be the way to go with the extra 20 bucks.
@GTBenergy using a tuner isn't lazy especially in a live situation. every day playing sure just tune by ear but unless you have perfect pitch you're going to want to use a tuner to make sure you're up to pitch with the other instruments. Also a must when recording
@Geargazm in live situation i guess it would work but if your performing on a festival etc. then youll have more than one spare guitar already tuned in :P

Hey man, quick question, would you recommend this tuner, or the Korg Pitchblack? They look similar so I was wondering you opinion. Thanks

@Zas379 note they are both straight chromatic tuners but the korg has a strobe style tuning feature

@Geargazm Truth. Just because we can tune by ear, doesn't mean an audience needs or wants to see/hear that.

wait, so you cant tune ur guitar muted?
thecheetodude24 2 months ago
@thecheetodude24
To clarify- yes , it will automatically mute when you click on the tuning mode.
Once you are done tuning, click on the stomp box and the signal/sound is activated
I hope this answers your question
