  • My friend drove 11.0s while it was raining with even more power - only smiled about traction.

    SX'es have usually good traction, I guess the big engine at the front is what makes this car so unusable. With proper tires you could do 12s, with some mods you could dream of 11s maybe 10.99s. Its a a short talk in a post, but takes a long time in real world. Until then the fact is 13s and smart people would bet on 12s Civics. It's a 3-4year old video - any updates?

  • @slyy4096 Unfortunatly the car was put up for sale with the chassis and engine being split so this crazy scottish sx is no more.

    It did make over 700 horses when the motor was fully tuned up though.

  • see im all for big power but like you said no grip you can have that 700 and if you cant get it down its useless maybe its time to narrow a 9 inch or a 12bolt and get it down to the pavement for real

    do tou see turbo 4 / 6 cly running 4 seconds no you see supercharged big block v8's.

    my brother has a 180 nice it goes good but this is my view love v8 always have not havin a go at any one it just my view

  • @foxpsi Do you see V8's sliding around a corner? No you see turbo 4/6 cyl riping it up. Not havin a go at anyone just saying V8's can't handle.

    "v8s cant handle" since when is the handling done by the motor? You can achieve good weight distribution with a v8 you just have to do it right. You can even look up a v8 s13 drifting video on here and he looks to be doing fine.

  • @TupacX2Pak are you retarted there are actually many s13s with Ls1s that are stricktly drift cars. do some research.

  • @foxpsi no there isn't 4's or 6's in the 4 second range YET. But there are 6 second rotaries, vg30's, 2jz's, etc. and that's with 1/3 of the displacement of a top fuel. So give credit were credit is earned. I mean a 1300cc rotary doing 6's in a 1 ton car. way more radical than the half million dollar purpose built rails with 8000hp. IMO thats impressive. i'm sure If someone made a custom 700+ ci inline with huge twins it would be close to the blown v8's.I get where your coming from though also.

  • To be fair it was but he couldn't use full throttle till the very last little bit of the track. The cars not set up for drag racing and trying to put close to 500hp down on skinny street tires isn't easy. I recon if he was running a drag setup he'd get into the 10s instead of sliding into the 13s

  • if you don't have alot of money to supercharge the v8 that you want and stuff, you'll get more bang for your buck with an sr. i love the v8s in them, but my buddy has a stock ls2 in his and my sr smokes him everytime. still sounds bad ass. ofcourse my sr has cams and a boost controller 3" exhaust from turbo elbow back. a lil work...so yeah.

  • yeah, i have a s15 sr20det with 310hp at the wheels in my s14 and i cant keep traction if i get on it bc of street tires...i still have the stock wheels on it lol.

  • I was in the car at Crail when it did that run and it was mega - fantastic
