I'm a hispanic. I was born in the U.S.. The majority of hispanics in the United States from other countries are ILLEGALS. They broke and violated U.S. laws. For this reason all hispanics have been lumped into the same shit hole. pinche mojadoes.
@CR7CR9RealMadrid I'm Mexican and I get called Spanish lol, well I mean I am, I have Spanish roots along with Irish and Italian, with some Amerindian/NativeAmerican admixture. But from what I understand, you Spaniards in the motherland don't like the Spanish descendants in Mexico? Oh well, I still love Spain/Italy/Ireland, as much as I do Mexico and the U.S. Mexican isn't a race btw ;)
Spanish people were obviously the first ever Hispanics and as a European nation the majority of the Spanish population is white...the whole use of the term Hispanic causes alot of confusion with people because the fact is that about % 99 of the worlds population are retarded lol Hispanic isn't a race, do we call black Americans Anglos? No! That would just be silly
1 minute ago i would love to know. why people call the blacks and mexican african/american mexican/american and the white people just americans? should we call them european/americans coz clearly theyre white. them ancestors came from europe? does them white people have american blood? they have either irish german italian polish blood? i'd like to know.. i need a little help here thanks
@mrchrmedone the first americans were the native-indian americans. then came the irish, the english and the french. and they kicked out the mexicans from california and texas. All white americans are from a european descent. hope I helped.
@corazoncito77 wtf, 1st came the spanish, then english, irish people wernt even involed in the new world exploration event wtf. the spanish converted with the natives, which then they turned into what most people are in latin america, latinos (mexican, puerto rican, salvadorian) but not all natives converted with them. some stayed. but got kicked by the british. which then turned into america. so bascily all this land belonged to us latinos
@99cacahuate ur wrong, we r the mixture of Spanish and Indigeneous and some are also black...I am tall and I have a fair skin color, I am mixed, not pure native
@makor90 you may call yourself hispanic-latino. im full blooded indigenous guy so why call my self hispanic. these sub-names were put out there by white people on us to create more confution and that way discriminated ourselfs by deniying our real heritage and our truth origen.
@makor90 Nope. Most of us are purely or predominantly Native American. Please don't spread ignorance when it is a FACT that the majority people from Latin America are indigenous people, mixed or unmixed.
@drki11joy123 most? I would say a great majority, depends on the country. By looking at u, yeah definitely have the features... not all Hispanics have the same amount of native in them....it's silly to think that
Good example of cultural diversity: I am Black(from Africa) and I live in Dallas area in Texas and I notice that many El Salvadorians cannot stand Mexicans and many Mexicans can't stand El Salvadorians. For 10 years I didn't know that they been having differences with each other. I play soccer with both groups and they talk bad about each other. The sad part is that ignorrant Americans from the US would couple those two groups together and refer to both of them as "Mexicans"
true but the guy missed out spain & equatorial guinea, w/c are in europe & africa respectively, on his list. spaniards are very much hispanic as from the word hispanic itself came from hispania (modern day spain). as long as you have heritage from those 2 countries or from latin america (except brazil), you are hispanic.
My Mexican friend is a mestizo(half Indian/half Spanish), so for "race" he considers himself half caucasian(Spanish) and half Amernindian(mongoloid). Not all Mexicans have European blood, but a lot do. It's like that in many Central American/South American countries...not just Mexico. I used to work with a guy from Argentina, who was part Italian,Spanish and Amerindian. So like the video says, there is much diversity within "Hispanic" cultutres.
all stereotypes are false, and Hispanic isn't a "race", srsly its just made up, when Hispanics are asked what their "race" is they always say "Dominican", "Puerto Rican" "Meixcan", the works, and these are not "races" only ethnicity's, if you check your "racial" makeup it can only be of African European Asian or Indian ancestry, so "Hispanic people" today are mixed people considered to have ancestry from a spanish speaking island, but i dont hate, its a beautiful thing if not from ignorance
Native Chamorros (Guam & Northern Marianas) come from the similar Hispanic history as those in Latin America. Over 350 years of Hispanic heritage. Yet today we have yet to be recognized by our colonial brothers and sisters in Latin America, as being a Hispanic people. Would my Spanish speaking great-grandparents have be considered Hispanic? Are the Chamorro people the forgotten Hispanics of the Pacific? I relate very well with Hispanics. Much more than with Hawaiians. Hmm? I wonder why?
The truth is that recently I found out that Guam is a derivation of the Spanish speaking. It is true that Hispanics in the Pacific are forgotten, but it's time to change that. / La verdad es que yo me enteré hace poco que en Guam se hablaba una derivación del español. Es verdad que los hispanos del Pacífico están olvidados, ya es hora de cambiar eso.
yes. guam's native language, Chamorro, has much influence from Spanish language. over 60% of chamorro words are of spanish origin. but the pronunciations are somewhat different for certain words. the last of the spanish speaking Chamorros of Guam died in the 1980's. But sadly much of Guam's hispanic culture died with them.
I'm sorry I went off like that I'm tired of people saying that all hispanics are the same.
Hispanic/latino really refers to a large diverse group of people defined by a language and certain historical, geographical and cultural influences.
There are white Mexicans, black Mexicans and Asian Mexicans, for example. In fact a good number of Argentinans are Asian. Yet they are all part of the latino culture.
You're thinking of mestiso, which is the proper term for someone of usually European and mesoamerican Indian ancestry.
