  • does anybody know, I saw two consoles of this huge organ, one is this here and the other is behind the positive on the balcony, is that other console with mechanical actoin?

  • Yes, this is the electric console that is on the balcony floor. The mechanical action console is up on the platform right in front of the rueckpositiv. Herr Leitner always plays from this console because it can control the choir organ as well.

  • ive heard this in Munich and its simply beautiful.

  • Much too fast...! You are killing the music.

  • We all miss Franz Lehrndorfer!

  • We all miss Franz Lehrndorfer.

  • That is a pipe organ ! I don't believe it ! 100% it's a pipe organ the builder is jann orgelbau near regensburg in bavaria i live in in regensburg ! i know that because i play the organ too ! so it is a pipe organ !

  • its a pipe organ but its not the best..the best is a silberman orgel..Dom zu Passau has one.

  • silberman is the best, but expect everything to be out of tune since the organ is tuned to a= 473 hz

  • That's wrong, the organ in Passau is biult by Steinmeyer and Eisenbarth

  • Just listen to the mixtures: NO electronic can ever reproduce them lol

  • Of course that's a pipe organ!

  • That is not a pipe organ. is it? It looks like a Johannus digital organ.

  • Its a pipe organ gon by the sounds of things and i`ve never seen a digital organ like this.

  • LOL :-) And the moon is made of cheese.

  • maybe you are confused by the fact that it's a free-standing console... The mechanical trackers run down underneath the floor to the different divisions

  • maybe you are confused by the free-standing console... the mechanical trackers run down into and through the floor to the different divisions of the instrument...

  • Darlings.... This is an organ from the late 1990's or right around 2000. - And the "sound" is because of the probably 10 seconds of reverb (no joke) in this church.

  • Ist doch krass wie die Amis solche videos empfinden, gell?

  • the best organs are from 17th-19th century, mechanical, built in Germany and the north of Holland, where many still survive

  • Everyone has an opinion on what organs are the best. I tend to appreciate the French, and later American, orchestral organs, though I think each style of organ has its merits and its drawbacks. To each his own! They all sound better than the electronic junk I have to deal with.

  • Why don't American organs have this kind of sound?

  • A large part of the "sound" is from the wonderful acoustic of the cathedral; This isn't the greatest of organs, but it's nice enough.

  • Wow! What a beautiful sound from this organ. Now that's a pipeorgan for the ages.

  • Holy frick, Ryan! Way to go!
