@PrettyEyePearl Thanks for your question and comment! The avocado is meant to replace the eggs/butter in raw food recipes. While I'm not sure what you can replace the avocado with, I know that you don't taste it...at all. I personally have a funny relationship with avocado. I can eat it in some foods (guacamole and this torte), but eating it in other ways (for example, in Thai food) makes me want to gag. I would suggest you give the recipe a try as is, unless you're allergic to avocados. =}
