I love both. I don't care which one once it's not Android. These two OS's are clean, have a nice UI, are stable and most of all secure which Android is NOT. That's why I love these and I really love the clean look.

I have to admit WP7 does look better than iOS's home screen but that sometimes differs in settings and stuff... The main thing is - These OS's are the best and are way better than Android.

honestly i have a dell venue pro with tmobile and it is awesome,the dark background in the menues is so easy in the eyes, super smooth and fast I've had it for 3 weeks now and no slowdowns at all or reboots, give it a try im sure you'll like it.

My OS of choice currently is Android right now. But If I had to compare the two.. I would lean toward WP7 rather than iOS for UI functionality. iOS still requires you to open an app in order to get information from it. While WP7 has tiles which get updated so at least you don't find yourself opening and closing apps constantly. iOS does have a much better ecosystem than WP7 though, but given time, WP7 should catch up. These OS'es revolve around the same paradigm.

Android/Meego do tech better.

Its funny everyone says that wp7 has no apps witch is true but what people fail to remember is Microsoft has the Xbox 360 that has thousands of games and Microsoft has a whole lot of money invested in wp7 pretty soon they'll have more apps and games then IOS and Android put together I bet on it :D

wp7 is on a par with iOS, they are both MUCH smoother than android. scrolling in the the browser is on wp7 and iOS perfect smooth. all android devices are laggy in browser with one exception, the galaxy s2. even the HTC sensation with dual core is lagy.

your just have to wait for the important apps like WhatsApp.

With WP7 mango the facebook chat is implemented. then you receive facebook MSGs like SMS without having an app running in the backgroud. and the multitastking in mango work very well

@zootrayer actually for hardware android goes first. plethora of dual core phones. speed- android firsh as you can overclock, but samsung GS2 already has a 1.2 ghz dual core processor. style- that comes to personal preference. i personally think the samsung GS2 (android) comes firsh, then iphone4 and the HD7 tied.

i must say i have both IOS4 and WOS7 , GOT RID OF MY IPHONE. i find my WP so pleasing and easy to use and even thou IOS has more apps(bin out longer) windows phone will eventually catch up and pass the Iphone leaving it as old tech. microsoft has athourized the jailbreake of windows phone :) apple will never do tht!!!!!!!!!!!!!......... i feel like i have a super phone not a smartphone(iphone)

The fact that I've been getting consistently more angry with Apple is the reason that one- I'm sticking with my imac from 2001, and two- I will never get an iPhone or iPod.They're latest blunder in my opinion was them deciding that an optical drive in a computer is now an optional accessory (new mac mini, macbook air...), which I think is insane, and I find they're abusing the exclusivity of both Mac OS and iOS with their insane pricing...

Android and iphone are very good OS's and are more powerful than the new WP7 platform. Both have more apps....at the moment. Microsoft is slowly putting more and more quality apps on the market everyday. I believe all the developers will be coming on board very soon. Reason I say this is 2 fold, layouts look amazing and microsoft has the money to invest to make sure it doesn't fail. This phone is a REAL competitor in the market and I love my WP7 phone. It is an awesome OS.

@bsnarm Well I personally think it's different strokes for different folks that said; I think the DVP has more interesting design but the iPhone has better materials. I think the animations on WP7 are great and it is actually a cleaner OS but iOS does have the app support interestingly enough is more customizable. IOS has a more polished look but the graphical text is easier to digest content on WP7. Personally I went with WP7 because its new and interesting and I hate Apple's corporate identity

@nowyourot I think the facebook app on both are really bad. They are both sluggish and not particularly pretty. I think facebook really needs to work with everyone more closely. There is some integration in both platforms and maybe its more a matter of data speed to pull down the content?
