Walter Martin's last TBN Appearance - Pt 1 of 5

Whatever happened to Doug Clark. Last I heard he went to prison for mail fraud back in the 90's and got divorced. I cannot find anything on him lately not even on the internet which is unusual.

It's too bad he had to wear a hairpiece and couldn't accept his appearance for appearance sake. It's too bad he never discouraged others calling him "Dr." when in fact he was not. Do you think this how a man claiming to represent the truth should act? If your ministry is of God wouldn't your person and aura be of God also? I tried his way and it only produced arguments. Look at the reactions from Mormons, JWS, Roman Catholics, Oneness, etc., when you present biblical responses to their godless doctrines, you are called anti this, know-it-all, holier than thou, and many other names all because they can't defend their postion. The title states that this was Dr. Martin's last appearance on TBN. I do recall Dr. Martin mentioning this appearance in several of his sermons. Do have the very first appearance of Dr. Martin on TBN?

I was fortunate enough to have met Dr. Martin when CRI was located in Southern California. Even shook his hand. When one is in the business of telling it like it is, you are going to have many people who only want to hear what their tickling ears want to hear get very angry at you. We need more people like Dr. Martin, but we live in a "politically correct" culture now, where people believe that if one disagrees with another's views, that person is hateful. Look at what happened to those....

This is some deep stuff! I've heard the late Dr. Martin before & so much enjoy his teaching! He's right on point and does not compromise! Don't hear Bible teachers like this much anymore, and that is because folk nowadays have those 'tickling ears' the Bible speaks of, only wanting to hear good things to make them feel 'warm & oozy' inside instead of the truth of God's Word, sad...

This was when TBN had some legitimacy, which lasted only a few minutes or so it seemed. There were some actually legitimate Christians interviewing on the network.

Now it is 95 percent heretical blasphemers with occasionally someone half way decent.

TBN and most the Christian networks suck. And I am a Christian and cannot stomach

most supposedly made for Christians entertainment.

@mamaschristmasbunny im not a Christian but i love when they show older stuff from the 80s and 70s and 60s its fun to watch and entertaning on a whole other level atleast for me like i just got done watching on tbn right now 15 mins of Doug Clark just letting it out doing his thing and he had charm and showmenship he reminded me of a young lettermen the show i was watching was CLASIC PRAIST FROM FEB 26 1985 so i had to google this dude Doug Clark wow but agree the newer shows suck

Howbeit we understand that Paul was confrontational to expose Hymaneus and Alexander the Blacksmith. I like the fact that from what Kenneth Hagin himself said, doctrinal controversy and extremes are necessary, because a lethargic and sleeping church needs to wake up when we have controversies so we can have healthy, moderated debates like they did on the John Ankerburg show when Walter Martin was in the studio with other opposing views in their day. God grant us repentance from doctrinal error

It behooves me to say that in light of recent events of the parting of TBN and Jack Van Impe, this fair and balanced and objective reproof from the late Walter Martin should have been digested, mused over, and received. Although I would not go as far as to say just the Bible minus Kenneth Hagin or minus Kenneth Copeland. Would it be fair for me to say just the Bible minus musicn0te5?
