  • Veri nice This tune is very nice and touching heart

  • This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing, this music has great value.

By the way, the sound seems to me to be surprisingly similar to some slow blues played on resonator guitar.

  • Hi Saqib, is there some place I could buy/get these audio files? Thanks!

  • @toylas The only place you can buy this CD is Folk Heritage Museum in Islamabad, Pakistan.

  • @saqibtahir Thanks a lot Saqib! I guess I'll have to ask some Pakistani friend to get the CD.

  • I am really greatful for uploading few ever recordings of Sain gee.

I only had one tune, but you uploaded full Album so helped me for a great collection.

Its really amazing that with one string Only Sain Gee could make such eternal tunes, complete Rags and even GHazals. He was an only master of Iktara.

May Allah give him eternal peace.

  • Exellent.I remember,in my childhood my fater(late)told me,that sain marna came often to my taya ji elctrical shop in jhang bazar in lyllpur to by strings,my taya ji requested sain marna,to play some tunes, and put mircophone in front of him,so he played the iktara, tears always fell down on the iktara, but sain marna was aslways MADHOSH with his iktara. He is burried in faisalabad after his death.Allah sain ki rooh ko sakoon de....ameen

  • Many thanks musafer. I am myself from Lyalpur. My home town is Gojra. Do you know any one in Pakistan who know about Sain ji. I want to put some info about his life history. Your taya ji was a luckey man.

  • I owe you many thanks Saqib tahir for doing the favour of posting Sain Marna's Iktara renditions. This is the music that could be called food for soul. Ecstasy indeed! May his soul rest in eternal peace.

  • Thank you very musc Musafer for giving an intro to Sain Marna. You really helped.
