Tim Burton produced and developed/supervised this marvelous Tv Show, but he didn't write the episodes neither directed them. It's just like "The nightmare before christmas", he didn't direct it but we credit him for the main concept.

I had forgotten how much the cartoon Bj was like the movie one, (Minus the womanizing and otherwise inappropriate things) Stephen Quimette does such a good job on his voice. He reminds me of Micheal Keaton at certain times.

I think the original phrase came from when a murderer would try and hide the body of someone they killed in their closest and it's a deep dark secret. So when someone else found a skeleton in their closet, it proved the murderer was trying to hide what he'd done and lie to keep out of trouble. So now the phrase means when you tell lies and you hide secrets from everyone is when you have skeletons in your closet.
