Maison MK in marrakech has been voted one of the “Top 100 Hotels in the World” by the Sunday Times Travel magazine, which is no surprise in light of this creative chic guesthouse owned by fashion photographer Paul Hopkins.
The classical Moroccan architecture of the riad was treasured and preserved during its renovation, but imaginative, curvy interiors and a sophisticated range of facilities prove Maison MK to be a very special boutique guesthouse....

great primitive city with poor leadership that have be in power for as long it receive western support.
progress is minimal with its 65%illiteracy, child labor ,drugs, prostitution and corruption, just to remainder the reporter, morocco is a third world challenged country,is ok for a visit, but to live their no,life still harsh with costume ,culture and tribes, morocco have many problems from occupation of western Sahara to Berber exploitation and exodus to Spanish Territorial waters and land.
I do not agree. Morocco is a country of the future with a young population, a COOL KING who is contributing heavily to increase the level of education, health and economic growth. Morocco is a modern country with infrastructures second to none in Africa (health roads, railways, universities) and a much well educated, helpful population. I am in Spain and feel Morocco is my second home.
I respect your view, but I will stand by my comment du to fact that I visited all north African state and morocco is the worst in comparison to her sister state, and not to forget is the largest receiver of foreign aid.
I could have said all north African state or countries if you prefer that's term, are worst in all aspect of institutions, but I would like to rank moorook that worst of the worst in corruption ,prostitution , drugs and drug related crimes.
I think you are generalizing quite badly. I didnt see any of what you point out (drugs, prostitutes, corruption, etc.) in Morocco. I met good, honorable, friendly people, hard working to feed their families. Try to be more just.
its clear to all that in a police state people have being conditioned from their corrupt absent mined leadership only one voice that do right, it would be okay for blind and obsolete arabs where a practice of real debate is censored.
I do not agree. There are *many* fully balkanized Islamic states (for instance: Sudan, Somalia, Chad, Iran, Algeria, among others). Morocco is a modern country and their king Mohammad VI is doing a big push for education, investments, trade and other aspects of modern society. Best from Spain.
balkanized! I don't understand your meaning on an issue is totally different from a western region.
with respect to Iran that's modernizing their country and peoples moving to a brighter future that is...
but as for your love in those north, west and east African muslin state are still in my opinion a primitive societies...you could research the plight of moroccan citizen to spain ,some die on their way, or the occupation of western Sahara and the treatment of their peoples.
@clustergarde -- "balkanized" is used in a geopolitical context and means that a certain area (which maight have been a state) is divided by different fighting parties due to ethnic, religious, political or other kind of background. Best from Spain. Yugoslavia, Somalia, Colombia are examples of this. Within the Islamic world, Turkey, Iran, Irak may be examples of "balkanization". Best from Spain.

brother, don't be so harsh, it's unislamic. you just cannot say who will go to hell and who won't.coz you can't even know if you are going to heaven. ask God's forgiveness. just an advice. come to Marrakech, you are all welcome

Morocco a police state ? The EuroUnion doesnt think so. Morocco is the most free and stable country in Africa.

Balkanized? That means a country torn apart by ethno-cultural differences. What do you mean Balkanized?

Salam,
Going to a fortuneteller or doing sorcery is NOT an Islamic teaching; it has nothing to do with.
But I think that a lot of Moroccans are not following the beauty of Islam.
