What's the advantage of using the alternate controller scheme?

@MrBluestrype It makes bouncing easier and minimizes the possibility of mistakes such as rolling when trying to hit a piece of cover. I picked up an Onza before I swapped to Alt controls and realized it was kind of going to waste as I was not using the programmable top buttons. So I swapped to Alt just to give it a try and I am in love. Been using them for about 5 days and I have already seen improvement in my CQC situations. Only thing to get used to now is the double input to run off cover.

One method for Gridlock's boomshot/digger spawn would be similar to the one you've shown us but simplified. Generally people from the 'hammerburst tower' or surrounding areas will hit the middle where the power weapon is. If you slide into cover hitting either the east or west wall you can still have the pickup option while you are against the wall so you take minimal damage if it's screened with smoke. It seems you are fairly active on YouTube regarding gameplays and assisting other users. I really respect that because there's a few friends of mine that I've tried to teach some rather advanced methods of play style yet I can't really explain the majority of it and you are able to show it from a good POV with good wording so I'll be referring people to your channel.

Indeed, a good tactic. Though keep into consideration that if you are quick enough you can walk around the weapon/grenade and slide to a wall - while sliding to the wall you will see the weapon pickup option if you have the right angles. If this is the case you are able to slide closer to cover while picking the weapon up. The downside is your character stops in mid-slide to pick the weapon up but it puts you closer to cover if it's a far range from cover. Similar to this video.

@arkangelio actually this is something Epic intentionally put into the game. Do some research, heck check the Title Update 3 notes. Epic changed executions so you can do the same thing.

Im simply telling you it was specifically designed so that you can move up until the weapon icon hits full circle. The fact that there is cover near dome of those weapons benefits that design mechanic. Again ask Epic for further clarification im obviously someone that won't make a dent in your assumptions.

Thanks for the tip I did know you could hold Y/X before you're actually in grabbing range of the weapon, and like you just showed, viceversa (you hold Y/X and then you move out of grab range) but I didn't use it consciously to move to walls and dodge etc, so the tip is very appreciated.

Oh, and I already know how to throw quick nades thanks to your videos :)
