Hi, wonder if someone knows of a male singer singing this tune. I heard the song sung by a man in the late seventies but cant find out who he is. Anyone knows?
@MrScothern1 CIndy ALter is still going strong and teamed up wiht Stewart Irving in SOuth Africa as ALter Irving. There are a couple of videos of Alter Irving on Youtube.
dude, i've never heard of Clout. Randomly stumbled across 'Substitute'...then sought more. I want to marry you, any of you, even though you are 45ish now.
You know what sucks? I had never heard of this band in my life until I stumbled across them one night recently and being someone who LOVES the 1970s I gave them a listen . . . and fell in love with their sound AND the drummer Ingrid and the lead guitarist Jenni Garson. Absolutely gorgeous women. I would have been somewhere between 5 and 7 years of age when they were in their "heyday". Now I'm almost 40 years old. :( Damnit. LOL.
@phantumwolf I don't think they ever got any attention in America which could be why you never heard of them back then. I could be wrong though. I was born in '79 so I wouldn't remember but I think I might be right. Anyway, this is a killer song! Love this song.
Funny to see the comments about people being ugly in the 70's, unlike the pre pubescent cute kids in pop music today who can't sing or play & are just cute.
@Loobs666 Take a look in the mirror if you want ugly.Or I'll drop my pants and you can use my butt as a mirror. These are real people who have talent, not some manufactured group of airheads who can't sing.
@zapkvr and they were South African too :) also look for "Ballyhoo - Man On The Moon" and "Rabbitt - Charlie" here on youtube also South African. Rabbitt were the South African version of the beetles and sold more records :)
Good/great catchy song but each one should see either a dentist or nose specialist.
My money's on the thought that they are dykes and spend ages eating, drinking and fingering their lovers shaven, lady gardens? Bet the drummer has at least 3 earings on her flaps...what do you think?
Mám rád tyhle 70 -léta,hudbu oblékání,lidi jsi byli k sobě blíž,bylo více legrace ale hlavně ,hlavně krásný melodický skladby ........jakou je tahle, která mně dává dobrý pocit nálady......hezký veselí holky i melodie..........
Clout is gone, but Cindy Alter is still making wonderful music. She foundet together with Stewart Irving the Group "Alter Irving". I´m sure you´ll love it.
i also have heard that version, this song originaly released in late '76 by a female singer, not sure who.......but i'm working on it. when i find it i'l let you know.
Awesome. I loved their albums (Portable Radio was another goodie). I sure wish I could find their greatest hits CD which was released outside of the USA :-), if anyone knows let me know. Thanks.
hey, im looking for a techno (happy hardcore) version/remake/cover of this song. if anyone knows it let me know, i been trying to find it for a long time.
A totally brilliant record. How this failed to make the charts at all in the UK, in the wake of "Substitute" going to no.2, remains an unfathomable mystery.
