The episode where Giles and Spike think they´re father and son is Buffy s6 e8. The episode where Spike comes to Sunnydale for the first time is Buffy s2 e3.The episode where Spike burns up is Buffy s7 e22. That should answer all/most questions.

He never fooled me. Whereabouts are you from? Not being nasty here, I'm just curious. One thing that always gave him away was how he said bath, laugh, can't, last, etc. Spike was from London. No Londoner, posh or cockney, would pronounce the 'a' in those words the way JM always did as Spike. If you're from somewhere North it might not slap you in the face like it always does me.

Another thing was the L and sometimes his O: "..have to do a LLAHHT better than that.."
