  • unmarked police car at the beginning... lost in the middle of chaos, lol.

  • Speed Limit: 2 mph

  • I was there a year ago :) Our minivan go sidesiped by a bus and then pounded by a car from behind.

  • PUT UP FUKIN STREET LIGHTS!!

  • THAT LOOKS SCARY. I NEVER WANT TO DRIVE THERE.

  • Love this vid. I've been to Paris 3x - the first time I went on a tour (never again) and we drag raced around the Arc in a tour bus (full of drunk people) dancing to the Macarena (hate that song). ROFL!

  • Lol that was me I would be like fuck this yeh can take the car and I will leave lol

  • Absolutely fascinating... I like it. Deprive road users of lights, clear lanes and give way rules. That way they are forced to use common sense. This video seems to be an exception. Most others I have viewed show it trundling along fairly well.

Go the French people, and their most interesting roundabout! :D

  • OMG that is fricking outrageous. Next year my dad and I are going to Paris, I think we should stick to using the metro.

  • One Easter break, back in the 70's, 6 lads and myself crammed into Jocks old BMW, and left the Army Barracks in Lippstadt, Germany, for Gay Paris! When we got there it was early morn. We drove around the city, & the BMW must of been rammed like a dodgem f-----g 5 times! Mad drivers, give way! WTF! Poor Jock's face when he saw his pride n joy dented like it had made friends with an exocet. Funny as f--k! Jock drove back to Germany with a girl from the States that we met, & left us behind! Bastard

  • I think the main problem that evening was that some sections of the circle were blocked of.

  • Paris is a very old city which was established centuries before cars were invented. Like most of French cities. This said, on the main roads, and high speed highways, modern traffic standards are at the top. The French freeway network is the longest in western Europe.

  • French freeway or the German Autobahn, which one is longer?

  • LMAO that's insane!

  • This place is an exception. Like a tourist show. Traffic in most of Paris highways is as good, if not better, than in any other big world cities. A lot of Anglosaxons are really a bunch of dumb pricks.

  • @Camarale:

Not quite so, I've just visited Paris and seen at least half a dozen places where the traffic had to be regulated by the police and even then drivers just could not make it. Also, traffic light don't seem to mean anything as pedestrians get green but cars turning left/right seem to think they have precedence and happily run over people.

  • That looks like so much fun...heading there in June 2010, just to tackle that bit of road! :)

  • Wow. I'm glad roads in Canada have lanes and rules.

  • That bus is the problem, but WHERE THE HELL IS THE CENTER??

  • silly bus

  • fail

  • Ok they seriously need stop lights!

  • @partydude9999

They have stoplights on that circle.

  • Didnt notice that, but they really do need stoplights!

  • LOL

  • Did they ever heard of a thing called a Traffic light?

  • ha!

    It's probably a contiki bus :P

  • no doubt

  • The driving in paris is horrible, the streets are tiny and drivers don't respect any rules, everyone wants to go as fast as they can (so do i). Just look at the bus, everything is stuck, he could let some car passed and everything would be clear, but no...

Paris traffic has nothing to envy to bangladesh traffic :d

  • This is what happens when you get a moronic British coach driver who doesn't know how to drive and he blocks the whole roundabout.

Stay home in the Midlands and do what you do best -beat your wife!

  • so funny :D :D :D

  • I've seen this at ground level and it's even more mental there! Thanks for posting this, it's hilarious and it brings back great memories!

  • haha i actually saw that like 2 years ago i thought it was hilarious.. they should do something about it

  • If anything Brussels should focus their legislation on unifying European Traffic Management in line with the UK's Highway Code. To think France is a technological advance country they would have install traffic lights to manage the traffic by now. This is crazy!

  • Comment removed

  • @khew1 tell that to the person inside the ambulance stuck in that gridlock!

  • And that's how you ruin good city's.

  • wow that traffic is crazy!!!

  • Mais kèki blanlent tous ...

  • I don't know who painted those lines on the left side of the image, but they do not exist normally. Probably men at work over there.

  • Heh 1:13: "Stuff the pavement, I'm outta here!"

  • hahhahaha, so lol :DDD

  • Give way to people coming in on the right....

come on it was never going to work!

  • whoever designed the road network in Paris should be fired!

  • it was 2000 years ago!

  • That would be one of Napoleon's engineers.

  • very romantic...

  • LOL

  • why don't you drive scooters oder motocycles??

More less money to spend for fuel (?) =)

  • lol at 1:12

  • Biggest Vehicle Wins

  • wow!!!!

    ....

  • dont they have like trafic lights?

  • Its a giant traffic circle, with, I think, 12 different roads, including the Champs Elysee, going into it. It's insane watching people drive around it.

  • Paris streets sure look disorganized

  • More like unorganized

  • Did that bus stay on schedule??? --Los Angeles resident

  • Because buses drivers in Paris always think that's they are the king of roads ! And in this case people who are on the place must give the priority for the cars which arrives on the right. But it's always crowd here ! French resident

  • wow that must have taken about 5 hours to clear. lol. oh and traffic circles are only suppose to support up to 7,000 cars per hour. it's about 30,000 where that is, or it would look like per hour. No wonder it's a mess.

  • Where's the chaos? I can see a traffic jam.

  • Charlie Foxtrot.

  • This is what YouTube is all about!!!

    Awsome, funny vid!

  • wow is all I can saw wow

  • Perfect Youtube contribution. Bloody hilarious, 5-star rating.

  • WOW! Crazy!! Thanks for sharing!!

  • This makes me want to go to Paris....this looks fun!!

  • ahahahahahaha

  • Ah yes... the Prioritoire a Droite (Priority for the Right.)

If they added Traffic Lights, It would spoil the Charm of the Arc.

  • Wow, incredible!

They hit their horn as well.

    wot a chaos

  • Beautiful...the French are loonies!

  • Priorité au plus fort!

  • Lol!Totalement d'accord!

  • Insane. Paint some stripes, put up some stoplights - problem solved. Somehow, though, they prefer it like that.

  • booradley4000ad: Good luck synchronizing lights to 12 avenues that converge here, including the 8 lane Champs Elysées which acts as a main feeder in/out of the Paris ring road and the freeways which then depart from there in all directions . Keep in mind this was finalized (previous phases go back as early as 1600's) in the 1800's, prior to the large-scale production of the automobile. This was designed to be mostly grandiose and only practical for horse carriages at most. Or is it possible?

  • ur insurance dosent cover u on the arc de triomphe lol

  • Why some keeps left, some keeps right? no lanes, no signs, no lights... what a chaos!

  • jaja what a fucker.

  • Ah, those brilliant French drivers. :D

  • I don't know if this qualifies as chaos. Just a regular evening on Place Charles de Gaulle. :-)
