@99fruitbat Movie roles for aging actresses have always tended to be in the "few and far between" category, and Joan would have been a senior citizen when this was made. She just wasn't being offered the "A" quality films of her youth, but producers realized they could cast her in their horror films and still draw an audience. Also, actors / actresses just didn't earn the mega-millions that today's lot do...they were well payed but still had to keep those jobs coming in.
@robatsea2009 Good point..just hard to think of Joan being a senior citizen...guess I only remember her from her earlier career. Painful to see her in a low budget film such as this. Gosh !! It's tough out there !!! Many thanks for your reply......
I've been searching for name of a movie u might recall, since your a sci-fi, fantasy & horror fan
I believe it was from late 60's to 70's about, well, what I can remember were these 2 robots in a space ship with humans on some kind of project. Ending was sad. Space ship was abandoned leaving behind the robots to fend for themselves & continuing their duties as caretaker of greenhouse, among other things.
Sure, happy to - the movie you are looking for is 1972's "Silent Running", directed by Douglas Trumbull and starring Bruce Dern. It's one of the best little science fiction films of the decade.
That's what I loved about the 70's.... The VERY liberal use of the GP/PG rating.
It seriously took alot to get an R rating back in those days.

What does GP mean?

@edebbws07 It was the MPAA's version of the "PG" rating that was in place from 1970 to 1972

That high priest in "Brotherhood of Satan", did he play the warden in "Cool Hand Luke"? It looks and sounds like him.

I remember seeing Trog with my brother when it came out. I remember the classic line in the movie.

My guess is that Joan Crawford probably would have wanted the movie itself to be missing!
