1,2 and 3 are really good; clear ( even if they are in French!) instruction, leaving me plenty to practice. Well worth watching/ listen . Good guy. I like.
When I see all these greats in the style of Django, it breaks my heart even more than I could not find a Jazz Manouche band or club in 6 days in Paris. Everytime Id ask anyone, the answer was was the same..." I dont know, I do not like the Manouche" I couldn't believe that Paris could have forgotten the beauty of his and other Gypsy Jazz musicians. Molto Bene, Romane!
@caseyspaos Think that up all by yourself? Nope, I took 3 printout sheets of various Manouche Clubs near the Latin Quarter where I was staying, and set out on mt search. It might be important to note that since I am disabled, I am not able to cover the same amount of ground as say, a non-disabled person would, so I am sure that played a part. I also didn't spend every minute seeking, but as I said most told me they did not care for Manouche, or didnt know a club, most on my list were gone.
We're in Paris once a year and have no problem finding Manouche gigs. Check out the "LYLO" pocket size magazine, free and it gives you all the up to date information you need in about ten minutes, and next time if you're in the Latin Quarter check out La Taverne De Cluny. Paris hasn't forgotten anything, far from it,

Anyone else notice at the end of the video he explains something (without subtitles) probably the most important key to playing gypsy style. (why didnt i pick French instead of German at school?!).........
@stemajor7 If you were talking about what he said after 3:45 he was just hoping this will allow you to enjoy yourself, play this music and hope more people will "defend this gypsy ambience(sound)." That was roughly what he said.
merci romane, ceci me fait dire que j'ai encore beaucoup ... mais beaucoup de travail :) et ce n'est que du bonheur ;) comme d'écouter cette musique, encore merci beaucoup.
Lessons 1,2 & 3 are a perfect first lesson for this style. The delivery was porfessional and inviting with a generous portion of expertice. The passion and devotion of gypsy jazz music rings in every word of Mr. Romane
I LIKE IT! but there is one thing that I cannot agree with: He should have played his improvisation a bit slower so we could follow him using these techniques while improvising...anyway, those three sets are really helpful!!
Muy bien tu Guitarra, y muy claras las explicaciones. Mil Gracias!!

The new home of Manouche is in the Netherlands I guess. Most of the Sinti gypsies live there now.

Man,I suck at theory. I haven't a clue as to what he means by tritone substitutions and stuff. I can manage to copy what he is playing though.
