@GrandsonofSoul Cole tends to be this in NXT, since it usually turns into a gong-show with legitimately bad things to harp on and it allows him to vent while still maintaining he uber-heel persona. This is why I don't think it's a cosmic impossibility that one day he could become some sort of vitriolic face so that he can spend more time being sarcastic about things that are legitimately bad, be they real, or the fictional actions of heel wrestlers.

This will anger Cole and we can hear him blast this season and have him speak for the rest of us. As long as he stays away from Raw and Smackdown I'll be cool with it. Have Regal and Striker replace him on Raw and Smackdown respectivley.

Actually the season ended when Bateman appeared. From this time on Young and O'Neil (and Bateman) have become more and more to the reason why there is no end to this season. In my opinion the truth is that NXT has become to a great possibility to give some on air time to several Undercard Superstars who (almost) don't appear in the main shows (e.g. Tatsu, Barretta, Hawkins, Reks -> If you (n)ever asked yourself what they have to do with the official NXT concept I give you the answer: nothing)
