She just doesn't have the mature deep sound, that you often get from more soulful or R&B artists. She's just a 'bubble gum' pop singer. That doesn't cut it as a creditable artist. Again, not saying she can't 'be', but her fans shouldn't pretend she is a favoured respected singer. If you like her it should just be about fun.

Not releasing this song as a single was probably the biggest waste in Britney's career. It's such a deep, meaningful song but it doesn't stray too far from the Britney that we know and love. Easily one of the best songs (if not THE best song) she's ever made. Such a shame that Jive chose Radar over this. Fortunately, I hear the producers for her next album are using Unusual You as a "jumping off point" for her new material, so if it's anything like this song, it'll be amazing. I can't wait!
