I live in Patterson and i always fish up and down the aqueduct alll the way to tracy, Rattletraps, plastic jerkbaits in pearl work very well, topwater work great in early mornings or evenings, crankbaits, swimbaits, deep divers! i use all these baits in the canals... especially behind the gates in moving water, if you find current those stripers will be there feeding on shad! ive seen em.. remember guys on a occasion you'll hook up on largemouth bass also! keep fishing guys!

In the CA Aqueduct its 18inches and up (2 fish per person), but i think in the LA county area the aqueduct allows 10 fish per person and size does not matter
