I have respect for these guys and girls who do the super modified and custom build pulls but I'm a country boy born and raised. We use our tractors to work our fields and then take them to the garage and tune them to pull for the weekend and when the pulls are over they go back to the field. I do like this style of pull but they should be qualified as something other then tractors. Great video

Hi people. The machine at 8:00 is running a 42 cylinder radial engine that on a good day claims to be in the region of 10,000hp but with its reliability issues I doubt it ever makes that. In this video I'm pretty safe in saying somethings not quite right with it.

@Phepheron Usually traction (or wheel slip). When the wheel has lost to much traction (gained to much wheel slip) the driver ease down on the throttle. Otherwise it will just dig a hole in the ground. When the wheel spinns to much relative to the ground the traction quickly approaches zero. So there's no point in continuing. The tractor needs to back up to release the chain. If the driver has dug a big hole underneath itself that will become more difficult.

I think other sports are more negativ for the environment. The most machines in germany runs with methanol and this is clean power.
