  • Wow! Seriously!!?? Two thumbs down? I guess Rossington AND Collins didn't like you giving away their secrets.

  • You're Great! Keep like that;)

  • like if you got a huge smile starting at 0:56

  • Alls good some people love Skynyrd and some dont. I happen to think their songs are great. Freebird is the # 1 all time requested songs!! you have to give them credit for making this anthem song !!! I happen to create all types of music and you love to have people listen to and comment on them. I'd love to create a riff like that dont know if I ever will but I keep trying. Appreciate you checking out my vids, subscribe to my videos so you can keep coming back to to chime in on my originals.

  • There was approximately 27 times during this song that I thought your strings were gonna break...LOL

  • son of the... great job man.i love the lynyrd skynyrd band.uuuaaaaauuu!!!!!

  • now you need to show us how to play like you you Legend

  • @MrTomatoseed Hey thanks man keep checking back and you can see my son and I in our band when I get them uploaded soon. We have been playing together 12 yrs. Great father son dou!! Keep having fun...

  • @msciascia08 oh yes absolutely I still will always have a special place in my heart for lynyrd skynyrd I just am not impressed by the solo in this song :/

  • How long have you been playing guitar for? :)

  • @xDeadxEyesxtbhx 40 yrs!! Countless hours still practice everyday ALOT!!!! It has alot to do with what you practice. Rather than practice to something that would be of little benefit, practice in such a way that you can go to the next level and be able to apply what you've learned. Because its possible to spend alot of time learning songs that dont benefit you.For instance: Love Struck by Stevie Ray its a prefect opportunity to learn how to apply 7th chords and 9th chords in your leads.

  • @msciascia08 im making it my mission to learn this solo, maybe not as well as you.. but im gonna try, i been playing almost 3 years and im self taught :P haha

  • wow amazing dude! Good job on pulling it off! :D

  • nice guitar i gotta first act like that only red how do you like humbucker pickups

  • @TRUKER96 Love Em!!

  • @msciascia08 More output is nice, rather than follow the crowd find what works best for you. Hendrix did it with a strat Paige did it with a Les Paul they both accomplished the same thing. I play a strat all the time but right now I'm playing the Paul with the band find YOUR niche and stick with that.

  • Ya Freakin Nailed it Dude !!!!!

  • @RockDudeRon

Thanks man took many hours to be able to pull it off !!

  • @RockDudeRon Thanks man been playing this for many years in my bands and now The Mike Shasha Band plays it at every gig!! Hope to get our band playing it on here soon as well as some of my Rock Songs so keep checking back. Maybe one day this will get enough plays Skynyrd can see it !! HA

  • do you think you could make a video walking you through the steps of playin that?/

  • Thanks for all the nice comments!! I will have some of my latest original music posted soon so please check back and tell me what you think!!

  • sound just like him and + the rings on ur fingers all of that awesome

  • some guy was two amazed and hit the dislike button by mistake

  • eres dmasiado bueno....quizas no me entiendas pero eres lo mejor..

  • god i hat this solo... you did great but this solo is so damn lame... I mean all it is is stuff repeated in the pentatonic scale.. ya for all the haters, i realize it's about the feeling and what not, and i just don't get that from this... im sorry so no harsh comments ya?

  • @6stringsandaneck dude...all in the process of the history and progression of rock. this was done FORTY YEARS AGO. good lord, man. next you're going to write that the Greeks were so lame with their philosophies as they pertain to modern western law.

  • @johnsone7777 so what I can't have an opinion? You aren't gonna change my mind with a youtube comment. I don't like the solo however historic or influential it was to whatever type of music that doesn't matter to me and there were a million and one solos and other riffs more influential to rock and roll than this. I'm just not impressed by it. end of story.

  • freakin awsum man!! keep rocking!

  • Hey Man, that was awesome...so am I right that you are basically switching between Gm and Gmaj during the solo?

  • Awesome to hear one of the best solo's ever being replayed so flawlessly, but when are you going to do the solo from stairway to heaven?

  • That was freakin' awesome. Haven't seen anyone else play it that good.

  • Finally somebody who plays Skynyrd music half-way accurate. This is more like 85 to 90% accurate. Great job man.

  • sweet man awsome

  • im just speechless !

  • anyway u can hook me up with some tabs? this was amazing to by the way

  • EXCELLENT! Thank you for doing Allen justice with this!

Although, if you've learned the entire live version of the solo note-for-note, why not learn the very end, too?

  • Same reason I didn't do the slide it wasn't important to me.The lead is a testimony to Allens genius at only 23 yrs old. I really like your original style. Keep working on that also steal from everyone copy no one!

  • That difficult riff at 1:48, any tips as to how to play that fast?

  • @Acousticshredder24

play it an hour a day every day until you can do it at full speed :)

  • that solo gives me the fucking chills

  • I saw the original band back in 75 in cinn oh fucking awsome no better band for southern rock besides allmans.they brouught the house down.
