South Carolina is so haunted that even I had a scary experience located in a town outside of Charleston. And I was in relatively new hotel. I gotta say that it was the freakiest thing I ever experienced ... and I've experienced quite a few things before. This was BY FAR the freakiest and the wierdest. Not only is charleston so cool and so haunted, it is absolutely beautiful too. It is. If you spend one day in charleston, I am telling you that you will feel like you've been taken back in time :)

u can actually take tours of this jail. when my friend and my family went to charleston, south carolina for vacation for one week in summer of 2010, we were looking at a guide for ghost tours and the tour of the jail was considered the scariest. The one we chose was just a walk through of downtown charleston. The lady brought us to all of these haunted houses, hotels, graveyards, and other buildings. They are literally all over charleston. The college based inside this prison should use some of the skills learnt by the students to repair and maintain their own facility.The place is falling down around their ears,it's not a very good advert for the skills of the students and lecturers.Paint and plaster falling off the walls,rotten out windows,missing bricks,holes punched through walls etc etc.I can't understand why they haven't made it their first priority to restore their own college section!!
