They shouldn't really be compared as they shoot for different goals. Each has its merits. For the record, I don't use either on stage, only when mucking around in the studio. The dirt pedals that get the stage space (this week) are Ethos, Gristle King and Wampler Triple Wreck. But.. Eternity: Woody, middy, TS-like. Generally smoother than the... Moller: More full-on distortion like as per the clips I'm referring to. You own one so you should know what I'm banging on about.
Very differently, Nick. The Eternity is a highly modded TS in my opinion and has the same compression characteristics. The Moller has more in common with a DS1 albeit smoother. Have a look at my Replica clip (shot with the Moller) to see what I mean.
Hmm. I like the DLS, Machine Head Pedals 72 Degrees, Crunch Box, Gristle King and Tim. All of these are slightly different and all offer something cool. This one is great too. :) Tough choice!
Yeah, I'd love to check out a Barber - any Barber! Bit short on the dollars though, at the moment. A recent spinal operation has set me back somewhat. So the Barbers and a dozen other cool brands will have to wait. All good things come to those ... as they say:)
I have a MIM strat with stock humbucker in the bridge, and this video proves to me that every strat-like guitar should have a humbucker in the bridge!
I ran the guitar (Floyd Rose Redmond Model 5) into the E6 and then into my Mac via an Mbox2Pro. I used a really basic Marshall setting from Amplitube 2 and then piped it back through some Blue Sky monitors on my desk. The Mac's inbuilt mic and camera did the rest and I processed it in iMovie and uploaded to YouTube with the same. Thanks for the T-shirt reference, my wife hates it: "You're wearing ORANGE!?"...

what amp you using?

Amplitube Hendrix I think. This was one of the last videos I did with sims before I bit the bullet and started miking real amps.

You are a busy man with the pedal vids. You gotta check out the Barber LTD SR. It is a great pedal. This one sounds great 2.

Yeah, I love that guitar. One of my top three, for sure. Pity you can't buy them anymore or I'd hunt down a spare. :(

Great demo! Little talk and you run the gamut of what it can do. Nice playing too.

Ohmygosh. This sounds amazing. Are you running it through that computer thingy that's on the other Eternity vid?
tubescum 3 years ago
are you using another overdrive pedal before of eternity? I have noted a low drive.
indianarockbrasil 3 years ago
Nope, no other drive. Just guitar - high output humbuckers.
