  • I will post a link to this page on my blog. I am sure my visitors will find that very useful.

  • yeah typical of me but what camera do you have its great you can take pics and record at same time

  • Beauty (:

  • Was visiting from Los Angeles CA, had no idea what Hogmanay was...was the most memorable New Years in my life! Although I was freezing my nuts off. Thanks for this!

  • Great pictures. 5 Stars. Excellant. Benita

  • wish i was there for new years

  • awesome camcorder and specular fireworks 5 stars

  • I had tickets to the party but couldn't get the car out of the street to drive to Edinburgh because of the snow so had to make do watching the fireworks from London on BBC1. Not a patch on these.

  • All the best from Auckland New Zealand, home of the lamest New Year celebrations in the world.

    (a Homesick Scot)

  • @dauntless111 no i would have to say that honour goes to our SA broadcasting corporation..

hope to some day experience a real New Year in Edinburgh!

  • Thanks for posting these up, i can hardly remember them, all i remember is staring up at the sky thinking wow this is amazing, so now i get to see them properly haha!

  • What are u using to capture this vid,are u takin pics as well as vid?

  • This is cool, I missed the fireworks, I was treating someone in the 1st Aid Post next to Ross Bandstand. cheers

  • These fireworks are beautiful. This is coming from someone who was in Times square. I guess the country of Scotland go all out on shooting up as many fireworks as they can as they don't have a theme? London has the eye, sydney has the Bridge, whats the the theme here?

Anyway it was very great, thanks.

  • @DarrellPeel the castle?

  • having been to the Taipei 101, the Times Square, and Edinburgh Hogmanay -of course the famous Castle would not stop the Scots from shooting up as much pretty fireworks as they could- for New Year celebrations, I would say it is nice having experiences in different cities for the New Year event.

  • Thats a right good Hogmanay Fireworks, it is even way ahead of Sydney Australia. Also far better than Perth Australia, as we had none, tight arsed State Government

  • I hope I could be in Australia someday for the New Year as well. : )

  • Best Vid Of The Lot ..! Well Done!

  • thanks!

  • Where did you take this from? I was on Calton Hill near the Nelson Monument and this seems like a different angle, but good! Thanks for posting.

  • I was in the Street Party of the Prince's Street. I believe you probably had a much better view there on Calton Hill, where I decided to go there instead for the New Year next time.

  • what camera was this filmed on? the quality is the best!

  • i used Canon 500D with Tamron 17-50mm to film this one. The camera is really great that you could even take photos while filming, however, it would cause the annoying "click" sound by doing so, as those being recorded in this clip...

  • That w(click) pret(click) g(click), but th(click) anno(click) p(click)o cli(click)g somewhat rui(click)d it. I'd g(click) a ref(click)d o(click) that cam(click)a. Fireworks prob(click)y had a g(click)d fin(click)y, but it w(click)s h(click)d to tel(click).

  • haha your comment is great, I found the click very annoying as well, maybe getting more familiar with my camera should be one of my new year resolution.

  • Замок фейерверка Эдинбурге дисплеем, вероятно, как вы говорите, что лучшее, что есть и такой большой толпой на морозе. С новым годом

  • fuckin a!

  • wow the best fireworks Ive ever seen the end sequence is dope!! wicked thanks folks...
