i just ordered slps for my 2005 mustange gt. looking forward to getting the on and hearing them in person. i cant wait. also i dont like when its a muffeled sound and thats why i went with the slps cause there not muffeled like the majority of the other exhausts.

@grantdarga Check out my page and you will see my wife's 06 mustang gt with muffler deletes. They aren't slp loudmouths but sound basically the same sound. They sound great in my opinion.

They are Loudmouth 1's not Power Flows. Mine are muffler deletes while the Powerflows are round mufflers. The power flows will probably sound good but be quieter than the loudmouths.

@MrTo44 yes stock manifolds and x pipe. Just added slp loudmouth axelbacks. All muffler deletes will sound about the same and SLP and Magnaflow look the best in my opinion. You may also consider the Roush extreme cat- back. It is a muffler delete but has resonators in the system to mellow it out just a bit. If you consider a muffler system I would recommend the KR exhaust. Videos are good but try and hear them in person if possible. Good luck and feel free to ask if you have any more questions.

WOW, sound 10x better than the LMs on the 3valve. Very nice, clean, and crisp sound and still keeps the 32valve underwater burbble, love it!

Flowmasters 40 series are more beastly sounding... thats on my S197 Stang GT ..Slps sounds like trackter exhaust...

There are a lot of great sounding exhaust choices for a GT500 and SLP is not for everyone. However I doubt anyone confuses the sound of my car for a tractor when it's going down the road.

the sound varies from the different engines. the 4.6 2v is going to sound different than the 5.4 4v. flowmasters sound better on 2v (my brother has them) and slp sounds better on the 4v. just my opinion.

as the owner of a 2006 Stang GT i have to disagree Flowmasters 40 series is the most beastly sounding of the brand and resonates through the entire vehichle add that with a 24 valve V8 theres even more beastly roar .the reason the 99-04 stang gt sounded better with flowmasters is because its 16 valves .. the stock exhaust was weak

Yea it sounds like a tractor on a 3valve 4.6 but not on the 4valve! That is one design Ford should have never put into production and that was the 3valve heads for the Modular Motor-what a waste!
