It's about timing skill too though. Timing is a big part of racing and you need to practice to get better and drag can do that.

1.3 rotary engine. Rotary engines are far more efficient, they waste very little power in their operation. Reciprocating engines lose alot of power from carrying pistons on their intake and exhaust strokes. (4 stroke) It has diddly shit to do with the fuel delivery, or forced induction methods. The Rotary engine doesn't need such a large displacement to make the same power, plain and simple.

they might be efficient in power output for the size but theyre sure not effecient for fuel economy or burning oil. i own an rx8 and i obsolutely love driving the thing. i love the rotary engine and what its all about. but one thing is for sure, it may not need the extra displacement to post the horsepower rating of a larger engine, but it does to post the torque rating. i love my car but it is the most torque lacking thing ever. but im getting ready to change that.
