@crothersdaniel You mean the way the Nazis talked about *Marxists*, but yes I agree.
The Nazis where pseudo-darwinistic collectivists who, while claiming to be the "good" socialists, tried to eradicate poverty by eradicating the poor/hiring them for the military.
The second implies only social justice, meaning the maintenance of free enterprise but conditioned by the imperatives of social solidarity: redistribution of wealth, free basic services for the poor, the criminalization of excess capitalism (pollution, massive layoffs in times of profits, excessive wage inequality, etc. ...). I really can't understand why the concept of solidarity is such a "taboo" in America. Could you explain me why ?
By the fact, excuse my english, but the study of foreign languages is one of the things which is going wrong in our country... Yes, you do not live in a socialist country. You should be, but I think you are not ready yet ! ;) Could you just please stop to confound communism and socialism ? The first one means the global nationalization of the means of production...
Well, I'm a french socialist (I'll vote in may, because we've got our own presidential election this year, for our french socialist candidate : François HOLLANDE) and I can tell you that someone who didn't abolish death penalty, who didn't make a public and an absolutely free health and education system isn't socialist ! Obama isn't socialist : he's what we call a "social-liberal". That's better than conservative or liberal (dirty beast), but it's not socialist. You're not living in socialism
In Socialist America people dream of success but the government stops them from waking up and working at it. In Capitalists America people wake up and work for success. For Capitalism to work it requires that its people be willing to work hard and be generous, caring, and warmhearted.
If you know someone on welfare or food stamps you and a your friends or neighbors should be the ones helping them not the government. Help them find a job, buy some food for them or help pay their bills.
Open your eyes people. We are living in a Socialist America, not a Capitalist America. Government regulating food, businesses, education, insurance, technology, aquaculture, internet, industry and anything else you can think of. 9% of Americans on welfare and 91% of illegal immigrants on welfare. Ridiculously high taxes on the rich and middle class. Wake up and lets take action (peaceful action) .
@superops7000 You are living in a corporativist America. In time, your country will become the new Nazi germany. (The nazis claimed to be socialist, but where really just racist corporativist that actually hated Marxism)
Free speak should always have been limited, not to make it possible to propagandize crimes like SOCIALISM and COMMUNISM.
Mean, evil and wicked concepts like SOCIALISM and COMMUNISM are totally un-american and are seeking to overthrow our constitution, the bill of rights and the very values and christian morales the once great nation USA was build upon.
Socialists and communists should always have been sentenced to death without showing the slightest mercy. They are SCUM .. human trash.
I've been told countless times that socialists embrace tyranny and it's harmful effects on their communities because they have an inability to think.
Your confirmation is duly appreciated though needlessly given.
I bet anytime anyone demands you present merit to receive benefit is irritating. Being responsible takes effort but you find that "irritating." Perhaps you should grow up and grow a pair ya wimp.
Bill Clinton didn`t Attack the welfare state of America on any sound Government advice, Some of his advisers even said your going to far with it, It`s counter productive etc..., But, That was all ignored, Because for the one simple reason, He did it for votes, He felt he needed to satisfy the the people in his party with the nasty ideologies
Which is the reaction most people have when they see the deleterious effects of socialism on once vibrant communties. OMG! These people want to be poor! Why else are they putting themselves thru such misery? LOLwut!
We've seen socialism in practice. It doesn't work. No one cares how you justify socialism. In the real world, it doesn't work and that is all one needs to know.
@csxtrain8666 Great! I'm happy that you're able to be so definitive in your support. Now all you need to do is move to Europe or Russia and put your money where your mouth is. If you don't then you're just another left wing hypocrite that doesn't have a clue what they're saying.
the future of america.the very rich not wanting to pay any taxes.the poor stuck with fighting america's wars.america being invaded or handed over to chinese by the rich hoping they will spared by them.they will wipe their ass with american flag.
big thing. socialism.....does nazi germany still exist no. does soviet russia still exist. no. any socialism does not prospor it only fails, brings the country into a weak state and turns the economy into nothing. money will be lost, prices will raise, taxes increase, work gets harder to find. look at america and the roaing twentys, government was fully taken out. the economy thrived. we were rich. but then the governemtn got back into every thing then boom depresion. like it is now.
@wspol624 Oh ok. Im Australian so I have government funded healthcare. Of course this is pay for with taxes. I have to say that Glen Beck is uneducated and I wouldn't want to put anything that he has touched in my mouth.
Socialism is a moneyless, propertyless, democratically run world society in which there would be free access to all goods and services. It has NOTHING to do with state intervention in commodity production, the production of goods and services for sale (which exists in so-called communist countries (sic)). For more on this see andycox1953.webs.com) For more on socialism in the USA, look up WSPUS
the opposite is happening, a plutocracy. all the wealth is being allocated to the top income bracket. that explains the bailouts of wall street and the banks, taxes on the rich and corporations being lower than ever in the middle of a budget crisis, the cuts in services that help out the middle class and lower class, destroying workers rights. this is all symptoms of a plutocracy, the polar opposite of socialism. of course the millionaire talking heads in the media won't tell you this.
Socialism probably isn't bad as long as it's in the form of Canadian or European socialism but Chinese or North Korean "Democracy" , disguised as "republic" which is really a dicatorial or oligarchical form of socialism would be utterly terrible.
Just think, we wouldn't have to worry about medical or insurance bills anymore since the state would provide it. Then again, you can forget about moving up into better neighborhoods since you'll be taxed every last cent that would get you there.
The State doesn't provide jack squat. The State coerces others to share. It's called collectivism because it collects the value of all and re-distributes irregardless of any particular recipient's contributions. That's a big part of why collectivist systems of governing fail. Rewards are dished out regardless of merit. There is no incentive to provide into the system.
keynesian economics IS socialism (government control of spending and business to control or shift aggregate demand to close inflationary or expansionary gaps- it never works) - just coming from an economics student
first off neather Obama or Sharpton are socialist, there middle left. "even though i dont agree with them on alot of things" but if you are truly intellectual and u wanted to find a good rep for socialism, the best way would be too find a party leader of a succesfull socialist party. like Micheline Anne Rey the 2011 president of Switzerland. but thats just one idea. also, look at Beck himself, when that man told him about something socialist Palin did, he just mocked him and ended the segment.
@MegaLink117 1. obama's agenda- socialist. sharpton overall- creating a new world order with a universal language (he doesn't even hide it in his own books. he even wrote one in his universal language) 2. put that man on gb. 4. YOU go on mr beck's show. 5. im not an intellectual im informed
@cheislame in not even ganna get into it with Sharpton," he sometimes is the Glenn Beck of the liberal world" also, im not realy relavent enough to go on his show, but if i was ask too i guess i would. and for the recored i would like to see him talk to Bill Maher. i think that would be a good conversation.
The example the commie gave was laughable. The State of Alaska claims it's own physical resources. The oil came from land the State owns. As Governor, Palin negotiated a deal for oil companies to pay the State to extract resources the State owned. That's an example of capitalism not socialism. You can give whatever false narrative you like. We see through such lies when the situation is put in context that aligns with reality.
@maskedphrogg well as long as we are on narrative lets look at the one at hand. the terms capitalism and socialist are terms used in a narrative, which means there very meaning can be altered by how you present them. you used a "capitalist narrative when describing Alaskas oil situation, and he used a socialist. personaly i think it has aspects of both. there are very few absolutes in politics. its all how you frame it. dont be slave to one narrative. stand back, see both sides, see the truth.
The meaning of words do not change simply because one uses them inappropriately.
You would like to frame the fact of community ownership of naturally occurring resources as a Socialist ideal. Unfortunately your narrative doesn't include the equitable distribution of proceeds from selling or licensing these resources. The fact that these resources were used to profit all Alaskans, who share ownership, is a thorn in your side. Enough said?
@maskedphrogg the very idea of shared ownership is a socialist concept. no matter what level you try to fram it in national, state or the individual. some people turned the term socialist into a devil term, and now everyone thinks socialist in bad. but at the same time people like social security, medicare, having police, fireman, schools, 911 EMT, and many other things . its a lack of education, its true, socialism everywhere would be bad, but its our best hope for equality in other places.
@MegaLink117 go ahead and put their names down. i guess going on youtube, typing in glenn beck, and searching for dirt to dig up on him isnt trolling then, huh. it would be the same if i looked up obama and started shooting my mouth off. but i dont do that. im just an average american citizen who watches gb videos. oh yes and by the way he's a very honest man and in no way biased, since he bases his opinions off of facts. if you have ever watched his show you could just see all the (cont.)
I'm all for Capitalism but what we have today in America is rape not capitalism Mr.Glenn Beck sending all our jobs to China bailing out wall street and Banks is not capitalism Mr. Glenn Beck! Why don't you talk about these points or do you and all our politicins think we are to stupid to understand what is happening? DAM YOU SONS OF BITCHES FOR RAPEING THIS NAITONS AND PEOPLE!!!!!!!
The political circus in USA and across the world is run by clowns. The mass media is in the front seat for distortions, deceptions and outright lies to perpetuate the criminal rule of elite superclass. Capitalism in any modality CORPORATE as in USA or STATIST in CHINA is the wage slavery of immense humanity in a useless, dehumanising, devaluing employment system of MARKET SYSTEM OF ARTIFICIAL SCARCITY perpetuating the conditions of poverty and alienation of immense humanity.
@MegaLink117 ok then choose a good opponent. oh wait there are none, because glenn beck knows what he's talking about. but you wouldn't know that because you don't even watch his show; you only troll gb videos because you have no life and pretend to be an intellectual.
@cheislame well you didnt realy give me a chance too name some names, but ok. and how can you posably pretend that you know who i am or wether or not i have a life. ive done more in one day then you ever done in your life. im an Iraq war vet, just because i disagree with you or beck dosent mean im a troll. but u guess thats just how u are, personaly insult anyone who has a slightly diferent world view. thats very unAmerican
@MegaLink117 (cont.) oh yes i forgot to mention this to you about YOUR accusation of glenn. numerous times when i watch gb's show he constantly asks the president himself to show up on his program. aside from this he's even had al sharpton on his show (sharpton didn't do so good). now tell me, please educate me. are these two gentlemen "lack luster"?
@cheislame The thing about Glenn Beck is he doesn't even have the faintest idea of what socialism is. now im not one, but i know hes useing the term as a devilterm to make people he dont politicly agree with look bad. its true socialism in america is a bad thing but u should not use it as a platform to launch a witch hunt. and if u think for one second that not everyone in the media is bias, then your just a fool, they all have there own agendas and biases we all do.

The communists and socialists in our country dream of revolution. We will steal their revolution and turn it back on them. We will reinforce the good things in our country's history and improve the bad. The revolution will be about equality and self responsability. We will squash the entitlement movement for good. We will restore the values of morality and humility. We will demand true ethical behavior in our politicians, bankers and lawyers. Join us.

how is it possible that someone as clueless as glenn beck actually is popular enough to be able to debate an expert when he knows nothing about the subject. it's like watching a creationist debate with a scientist.

Man, what a real bastard. The guy must have no understanding of subjectivity, fallability of man, and emotional bias as things to contend with, when living, in order to make better choices. Share the information, attempt to address it objectively, and don't try to fit everything to your point of view, Beck.
Funny how Glenn says in the opening that he has respect for his next guest yet continually asks him queestions, then doesn't allow him to answer. Respect. MEH!
Capitalism is great in theory, but when people are so greedy and competitive that they move our jobs to other countries to compete it brings America down. Now what we have is service-sector jobs, minimum wage, and high rent. Middle class is becoming extinct which I would be willing to bet is not good for families. Which leads to divorce. Great system!! Right-wing nuts are liars! America eats it up.
@holytemplar - Then you're a moron. There's no difference between Socialism and Corporatism. In the end when Socialism fails it seeks the "middle way" which is fascism. You're so indoctrinated beyond stupid you think you understand the difference. You don't have a fucking clue. Fascism was the response to the failures of socialism and communism. China is now a fascist country. They opened their markets long ago.
everyone's talking about HUMAN NATURE and COMPETITION and INDIVIDUALITY. Let me tell you something, if all that's the case we should give the poor the right to throw a revolution and kill the rich, since human nature is powered by greed and incentives, nothing should get in its way. There should be no laws.
Socialism is great? Was Britain lying when they said socialized medicine was the biggest mistake they made? Where do you think the money to support socialized medicine comes from?
Unlike what the red tie dude in this video thinks, I just watched a video from a financial adviser that grabbed this from the National Inflation Association: even if every U.S. citizen was taxed 100% of their income, it still wouldn't be enough to balance the federal budget, and that's before socialist programs.
Even at the end Beck trys to merge Socialism and Communism together, red of course being the colour of communism and was in fact and insult all throughout the early and mid periods of the cold war in America. If you were even thought to have Communist sympathys or views (that were often confused with socialist ones) then you were called 'red'.
One guy talks to the point, the other repeats himself like a parrot. I've seen this type of argument before- In the 2nd grade between the teacher and the dumbest kid in class.
@Crinderman all stubborn conservatives do. People critisize something they know very little about. Understanding the difference is as simple as reading a book.
I love it how Glenn invites some guy to mock him and gets his ass handed to him without even realizing it. Calling Obama a socialist is proof of the idea that Americans are generally stupid, as soon as the government wants to "govern" (Get it? Govern as in government) it's socialistic.
What nobody seems to realize is that all these types of gov't forget one very important thing - human nature. We are competitive people. We strive to be the best. We want to keep what we earn or make and we are INDIVIDUALS that want to pursue our own interests. Socialism and big unions are the antithesis of human nature. All of these types of gov't ultimately fail or will fail because of it.
@mikebri527 You're confusing human nature for human behavior. There is no such thing as human nature, only the behaviors that society bestows on us in order to operate under the current systems. No human tendencies are hardwired into our genes, this is a common myth. Any "normal" humanistic behavior can be overcome based on the society in which we live. Once people begin to think critically, they start to realize that money, possessions, status, etc are not what makes humans thrive.
@djmk227 Thanks for the reply but I disagree. I don't believe in the "tabula rasa" theory which is what you're describing. I believe we are "pre-programmed" and we are not a blank canvas at birth. Also, don't make the assumption that our competitive nature means "kill or be killed". I believe you can be civil, moral, and ethical, and just be better at something than somebody else. It happens all the time in a free market economy where inventions can be made better over time by others.
@mikebri527 I think humans left their most primal animalistic "human nature" behind a long time ago. If you want to go back to living in caves and getting you meal of a dead mammoth carcass then be my guest. It would all be in the name of human nature. However, as advanced members of the animal species we tend to avoid this. Its called evolution. Capitalism is system that helps only a minority of the population. If you believe this to be a good thing, then maybe you do belong in a cave...
@stevenrhcp If you leave behind HUMAN nature, then you can't be human. Obviously we are so it is a part of all of us. Look at Olympic athletes, they compete to be the best; not to be the same as everybody else. It is our nature to improve ourselves and our lives by what we do and how we do it. The free market economy is another example of this competitive spirit in us (think Ford, Edison, Einstein, etc.). Great people looking to improve themselves and all of our lives also.
@mikebri527 Yes, but not everybody has the capability of being an olymbic athlete, so why should they have to suffer? Edison and Einstein benefited the human race, because they wanted to improve society, not because they wanted to make money, so using them as an example is not really fitting. Ford however I will grant you that. And to be honest I would rather disassociate myself with the human race as it is, as you said, a greedy species. I really can't see the evil in everyone being equal.
@stevenrhcp You're contradicting yourself. In the first sentence you say "not everybody has the capability of being an olymbic athlete" which means that we're all not equal. Then in the last sentence you say "I really can't see the evil in everyone being equal" but you didn't say that in the first sentence. So which is it, are we equal or are we not? Obviously you don't know what you're talking about. When you grow up and figure it out, I'll be more than happy to prove you wrong again.
@stevenrhcp Nor am I brainwashed to believe that capitalism and a free market economy is the spawn of the devil. However, the Soviet Union collapsed. Why is that? Do you think it collapsed because Communism failed? Yeah, it did. You're not very intelligent to believe in a system that ruined the lives of millions of people. Also, I never said we were a greedy species. I said we are a competitive people (read it again). Competition and greed are two very different things.
@mikebri527 True. But what people also tend to forget is that without limits and regulations, people get greedy and ruin industries. Look at all the businesses that fail because they can't compete with big corporation's prices, all the corrupt banks that destroyed people's lives to save a few bucks.
@EPICsliceOFcake Yes, unfortunately you are somewhat correct. However, I never said I wanted a world without limits and regulation. But the idea that we can't have winners and losers and we can't have failure is just not possible in a world with humans that are prone to make mistakes. Even athletes take part in games with limits and regulations so that's fine. I believe no one likes their earnings taken from them by force of govn't & given to others that haven't earned it. Thanks for the reply.
@EPICsliceOFcake Also, big corporations and big banks are in bed with big government. Corporations give big $ to politicians and hire lobbyists to get laws on the books that blocks competition and actually KEEPS PRICES HIGH making all of us poorer. Big banks give big $ to politicians so they can play fast and loose with our money and then get MORE of our money in bailouts from the govn't. When you have a govn't controlled economy (part of socialism) this is what happens.
@mikebri527 Yes. Whether we become socialist or capitalist, I wish the gov't would just decide. You know why we're in such debt? Because we have Obama trying to make the country more socialist at the same time the Republicans are trying to cut taxes. Big gov't spending and small taxes don't agree with eachother. The biggest reason we're in this mess is because stupid congress doesn't care to do what's right for the country. They just want to block eachother.
@EPICsliceOFcake With all due respect that decision was made over 200 years ago. We are not socialist, we are a Constitutional Republic. The politicians choose to sidestep that very important point. Also, capitalist is not a form of government, it is an economic system. Actually a more accurate name would be a "free market economy" which a Constitutional Republic govn't should be out to protect not destroy. What we need is CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT, small and limited in power & wealth.
@mikebri527 Socialism is not the antithesis, socialism is about making sure that everyone has a fair chance and a proper living wage, they do not limit personal assests as communism does nor does it deny personal ownership or even corporate ownership. What it is about is keeping businesses fair for the workers, the people who keep the companies running, some of the most stable governments are socialist right now. Don't bash what you do not understand.
@Kravockian Having a fair chance is what capitalism provides not socialism. There is no such thing as a "proper" wage. Keeping business fair is also what capitalism does, not socialism. Currently, the PIIGS countries (Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Spain) are not "stable" governments. All of them are in deep financial trouble. Greece would've failed if it wasn't for the EU bailing them out. No, they are not stable governments. It is you sir who do not understand what you are supporting.
@mikebri527 wow glad to see that people don't understand what capitalism or what socialism is, Those countries are largely capitalistic in economic setting Sweden is an example of a socialistic economic setting along with China. Capitalism rewards manipulation and exploitation, such as outsourcing, ikea (from sweden) had a law due to the socialist government that only allows a certain amount of jobs outside of the country per those inside the country. Learn your facts because you are way off.
@Kravockian No, it is you who do not understand the difference. China is communist. Capitalism does not reward manipulation and exploitation. That is not capitalism. Look up any legitimate definition of capitalism and you will not see anything to the effect of reward for manipulation and exploitation. As I said you do not understand what you are saying. It is government control and over regulation of capitalism that creates what you are defining. I know my facts. It is you who do not.
@Kravockian The U.S. has not practiced capitalism since at least 1913. What the U.S. has devolved to is at best "corporatism" or "crony-capitalism" and the more our government interferes with the free market the more you will see the kind of manipulation and exploitation you speak out against. The evidence is clear, all you need to do is open your eyes and see the great advances in manufacturing, technology, life expectancy, health, etc. have all come about through capitalism, not socialism.
@Kravockian So where is your argument about a "proper wage". I guess you didn't dispute me because you know I"m correct. The U.S. became the greatest economic power in the world because of capitalism. We're going to loose that because of socialism.
@mikebri527 Actually we did not offically become a capitalist state untill our debt rise in the early 60's untill then we were still labeled an "industrious" nation which is the precursor to capitalism but the reason we reached it was due to communist, socialist, and facist policies that were implemented. A proper living wage is where you work a full work week and are payed enough to cover you bills and cost of living while having a small amount for wants (luxuries). America has been on an econ-
@Kravockian "Officially" or not we've practiced capitalism since our birth as a nation. We've gone downhill (not gotten better) since we've moved towards communism, socialism and facism. There is no way to define a "proper" wage. A proper wage by who's definition? It would be different for every person without regard for what job they did, how well they did it, or their skill level. Your statement is asinine.
@mikebri527 omically since the 70's except for the breif reprive we had during the Clinton administration (a mix of social policies and capitalism) where we we almost out of debt untill the republican agenda was applied to our economy (capitalism border line facism) and our economic power plumeted. We are far behind the best economic powers (China, Germany, Japan, Sweden, Canada.) And just to clerify economic power is determined by input/export + tarrifs *national resouces/annual loss.
@Kravockian Your definition of an economic power is also asinine. Canada? Sweden, China? Of all the discoveries, inventions, technological advancements made in the world very few (if any) came from the countries you call economic powers. There WAS only one economic power in the world and that WAS the U.S.A. until we started adopting communistic, socialistic, fascist policies.
I would also like to know where you have been for the past 12 years, seeing as how we haven't had a truly solid economy for close to a decade. Also I would like to know what kind of degree (if any) you have to qualify you to know economic standards and policies since you seem to know close to nothing about them. That is the problem today is that too many people talk without truly knowing what the subject matter is. The point is that socialism can help America but people confuse it with communism
@Kravockian I've been living in the real world for the past 12 years and realize that our economy has not been "solid" as you say because of our movement to communism, socialism, and fascism. Actually we have not practiced true capitalism since at least 1913 and some argue even earlier. Paul Krugman was a nobel prize winner in economics but is completely out of touch with reality. Most of the people like him have said "they never saw this recession coming".
@Kravockian The Austrian School of Economcs has been talking about these issues for years and they've been right almost every time. The days of the Keynesian economics is drawing to a close. It will all breakdown at some point. If a nobel prize winner like Paul Krugman was so ignorant to reality I can only image that you're thousands of times more ignorant than he is.
Hate the wealthy? Give to the less fortunate? "Even the playing field" ?
Here are average yearly incomes of several countries:
Brazil $8,135
Venezuela $11,444
India $1,054
China $3,212
USA $45,835
To even the playing field, we must "de-develop the USA" , redistribute the wealth globally (take your income) vis cap and trade and other measures. Socialism is taking American money and giving it to poor countries.
Glenn Beck is an ignorant fuck that cannot be talked with.. not just because of his strong beliefs but more because he's not willing to listen to what anyone that disagrees with him has to say.. instead he's interruping people on his show with stupid jokes and mocks them.. the show shouldn't be called "glenn beck show" it should be called"the-this is myyyyy shoooowww.. i am GLENN BECK.. shut up you pinhead.. i'm right you're wrong.. lala i'm not listening.. lala-show".. ps:FUGB
socialism capitalism comunism zionism all isms r failed if we have 7 billion consumers in world and ppulation increase of 100 million per year an melting glaciers dying species land water forest degradation dont know where we r
@FreewayTitan He does so does Fox News but they lie about everything because it doesnt agree with there corporatist agenda,so they lie and scare there gullible viewers into drinking the kool aid.
@dave19941000 Been there they suck dick. Capitalism is superior in every what imaginable. Socialism carries along the useless unproductive people who deserve to be poor because they failed someplace else in the first place.
@Sturmbannfuhrer21 "Been there they suck dick" Sounds to me your thinking about a country that was communist, when I say socialist, I mean Socialist NOT communist. 8 on the top 10 countries with the besy quality of life are socialist, the other 2 are liberal, and the US isn't on the list. Socialism alone is bad, but Capitalism alone is worst, you need BOTH for a sociaty to work, and the US is too Capitalist (2008 proved that). Go to a Scandinavian country and you will see it's better there.
@dave19941000 Socialism is fine if you like helping other and "giving money away to the needy". Its my opinion that this is senseless because people need to be responsible for themselves. In a Capitalist country I can do whatever I want with tons of money I earn. In a socialist country lots of that money I earned would be given to other people to "raise their quality of life" but I honestly dont give a shit about other people.Society is not important to me and my quality of life goes up with $.
@Sturmbannfuhrer21 Those people don't deserve LIVES because they weren't high performers? What if they got SICK or were dealt huge blows your arrogant arse hasn't experienced yet. When you have your whole world collapse through no fault of your own, you're a little more humbled and open to helping others. Hmm.. You might appreciate that safety net back at home whence you stumble upon a serious hardship. Count yourself lucky.
Reagan was right: "In the name of liberalism, people will adopt every fragment of socialism to America". It's happening now under Obama. This is scary! Also George Washington: "Government is like fire, it can be your best friend and your worst enemy, therefore you have to control it". Think about that politicians like Frank, are ruling Denmark where I live.
Why doesn’t Fox News ever turn their criticisms on communist China? China’s doing more to around the world to promote totalitarianism than any fringe group in the U.S. The answer: Fox News is merely a propaganda wing for American CEO’s who are in bed with the Chinese.
@listen2this wow and the rest of the news stations aren't propaganda machines for Obama, did these CEO go after CBS, ABC, NBC....no did Obama go after FOX news for not supporting healthcare? yes, so be careful of who you call propaganda machines
Btw, Obama is about as Socialist as a Jewish Nazi. In fact, if you ask me, he's too Capitalist and conservative for my taste. He's the Dem form of Bush. The Tea Party is a fake revolution. Like hired protesters.
Well Obama is a socialist could be a marxist so the opposite of that would be a complete capitalist bush is not a complete capitalist almost no one in politics are. Bush and obama are closer then u might think like the war in afganistan stimilus plans, getting rid of freedom for security that type of thing. Of course though obama worse...
"...Government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the Earth." has lost it's meaning in America. Revolution is needed. Like shocking a dead person back to life. In this case, a country that has been corrupted by greed, right wing Nationalism and a false sense of security. I'm standing. Who else will join?
This latrine slime Beck has been doing the same song and dance for a year now: "The Socialists are Coming! The Socialists are Coming!" In one year's time, he will not have changed his tune, that is if he still has a show.
we have to understand there is a difference between socialism and Communism what the stupid americans think of Socialism is RUSSIA and Democratic Socialisim looks like CANADA, UK, FRANCE, NORWAY, DENMARK, GERMANY, and to a certain extent us in the US.... we need to read more y friends
no capitalism is working for your money. socialism is paying for lazy bums health care and paying for everything they do. socialist countries suck. snd if you want to be charitable to the poor, it called charities. i pay charities every year because i WANT TO not because some socialist government tells me i have to.
socialism is the gayest idea ever! everyone who actually lives in a socialist country hates it. thats why everyone immigrates to america. im not going to give my money to people because the fuckin government tells me to!! what happened to this country?
I can tell that you aren't a very serious person since you use "gayest idea" as an argument. Socialism is an excelent idea that works super. while capitalism is based on greed socialism is based on humanity. The main mistake that american (capitalist)people do is that they confuse socialism with komunism. socialism is NOT the same as komunism.
lastly I live in Sweden, a fairly socialist country and I love it here! I think we should be more socialistic than we are atm!

Socialism is a moneyless, propertyless, democratically run world society in which there would be free access to all goods and services. It has NOTHING to do with state intervention in commodity production, the production of goods and services for sale (which exists in so-called communist countries (sic)). the opposite is happening, a plutocracy. all the wealth is being allocated to the top income bracket. that explains the bailouts of wall street and the banks, taxes on the rich and corporations being lower than ever in the middle of a budget crisis, the cuts in services that help out the middle class and lower class, destroying workers rights. this is all symptoms of a plutocracy, the polar opposite of socialism. of course the millionaire talking heads in the media won't tell you this.
grasd2 9 months ago
Socialism probably isn't bad as long as it's in the form of Canadian or European socialism but Chinese or North Korean "Democracy" , disguised as "republic" which is really a dicatorial or oligarchical form of socialism would be utterly terrible.
Just think, we wouldn't have to worry about medical or insurance bills anymore since the state would provide it. Then again, you can forget about moving up into better neighborhoods since you'll be taxed every last cent that would get you there.
zerutuby 10 months ago
@zerutuby
The State doesn't provide jack squat. The State coerces others to share. It's called collectivism because it collects the value of all and re-distributes irregardless of any particular recipient's contributions. That's a big part of why collectivist systems of governing fail. Rewards are dished out regardless of merit. There is no incentive to provide into the system.

xsumuhdihx 11 months ago
first off neather Obama or Sharpton are socialist, there middle left.
MegaLink117 11 months ago

MegaLink117 11 months ago
@MegaLink117
We must not have watched the same video.
We see through such lies when the situation is put in context that aligns with reality.
maskedphrogg 6 months ago
@maskedphrogg well as long as we are on narrative lets look at the one at hand. the terms capitalism and socialist are terms used in a narrative, which means there very meaning can be altered by how you present them. you used a "capitalist narrative when describing Alaskas oil situation, and he used a socialist. personaly i think it has aspects of both. there are very few absolutes in politics. its all how you frame it. dont be slave to one narrative. stand back, see both sides, see the truth.
MegaLink117 6 months ago
@MegaLink117
No one surprised at your sophistry.
Enough said?
maskedphrogg 6 months ago
@maskedphrogg the very idea of shared ownership is a socialist concept. no matter what level you try to fram it in national, state or the individual. some people turned the term socialist into a devil term, and now everyone thinks socialist in bad. but at the same time people like social security, medicare, having police, fireman, schools, 911 EMT, and many other things . its a lack of education, its true, socialism everywhere would be bad, but its our best hope for equality in other places.

Capitalism is great in theory, but when people are so greedy and competitive that they move our jobs to other countries to compete it brings America down. Unlike what the red tie dude in this video thinks, I just watched a video from a financial adviser that grabbed this from the National Inflation Association: even if every U.S. citizen was taxed 100% of their income, it still wouldn't be enough to balance the federal budget, and that's before socialist programs.

What nobody seems to realize is that all these types of gov't forget one very important thing - human nature. We are competitive people. We strive to be the best. We want to keep what we earn or make and we are INDIVIDUALS that want to pursue our own interests. Socialism and big unions are the antithesis of human nature. All of these types of gov't ultimately fail or will fail because of it.
mikebri527 1 year ago 7
@mikebri527 You're confusing human nature for human behavior. There is no such thing as human nature, only the behaviors that society bestows on us in order to operate under the current systems. No human tendencies are hardwired into our genes, this is a common myth. Any "normal" humanistic behavior can be overcome based on the society in which we live. Once people begin to think critically, they start to realize that money, possessions, status, etc are not what makes humans thrive.
djmk227 1 year ago
@djmk227 Thanks for the reply but I disagree. I don't believe in the "tabula rasa" theory which is what you're describing. I believe we are "pre-programmed" and we are not a blank canvas at birth. Also, don't make the assumption that our competitive nature means "kill or be killed". I believe you can be civil, moral, and ethical, and just be better at something than somebody else. It happens all the time in a free market economy where inventions can be made better over time by others.
mikebri527 1 year ago
@mikebri527 I think humans left their most primal animalistic "human nature" behind a long time ago. If you want to go back to living in caves and getting you meal of a dead mammoth carcass then be my guest. It would all be in the name of human nature. However, as advanced members of the animal species we tend to avoid this. Its called evolution. Capitalism is system that helps only a minority of the population. If you believe this to be a good thing, then maybe you do belong in a cave...
stevenrhcp 10 months ago
@stevenrhcp If you leave behind HUMAN nature, then you can't be human. Obviously we are so it is a part of all of us. Look at Olympic athletes, they compete to be the best; not to be the same as everybody else. It is our nature to improve ourselves and our lives by what we do and how we do it. The free market economy is another example of this competitive spirit in us (think Ford, Edison, Einstein, etc.). Great people looking to improve themselves and all of our lives also.
mikebri527 10 months ago
@mikebri527 Yes, but not everybody has the capability of being an olymbic athlete, so why should they have to suffer? Edison and Einstein benefited the human race, because they wanted to improve society, not because they wanted to make money, so using them as an example is not really fitting. Ford however I will grant you that. And to be honest I would rather disassociate myself with the human race as it is, as you said, a greedy species. I really can't see the evil in everyone being equal.
stevenrhcp 10 months ago
@stevenrhcp You're contradicting yourself. In the first sentence you say "not everybody has the capability of being an olymbic athlete" which means that we're all not equal. Then in the last sentence you say "I really can't see the evil in everyone being equal" but you didn't say that in the first sentence. So which is it, are we equal or are we not? Obviously you don't know what you're talking about. When you grow up and figure it out, I'll be more than happy to prove you wrong again.
mikebri527 10 months ago
@mikebri527 That being said I'm not american, and therefore brainwashed to beleive that communism is the spawn of the devil
stevenrhcp 10 months ago
@stevenrhcp Nor am I brainwashed to believe that capitalism and a free market economy is the spawn of the devil. However, the Soviet Union collapsed. Why is that? Do you think it collapsed because Communism failed? Yeah, it did. You're not very intelligent to believe in a system that ruined the lives of millions of people. Also, I never said we were a greedy species. I said we are a competitive people (read it again). Competition and greed are two very different things.
mikebri527 10 months ago
@mikebri527 True. But what people also tend to forget is that without limits and regulations, people get greedy and ruin industries. Look at all the businesses that fail because they can't compete with big corporation's prices, all the corrupt banks that destroyed people's lives to save a few bucks.
EPICsliceOFcake 8 months ago
@EPICsliceOFcake Yes, unfortunately you are somewhat correct. However, I never said I wanted a world without limits and regulation. But the idea that we can't have winners and losers and we can't have failure is just not possible in a world with humans that are prone to make mistakes. Even athletes take part in games with limits and regulations so that's fine. I believe no one likes their earnings taken from them by force of govn't & given to others that haven't earned it. Thanks for the reply.
mikebri527 8 months ago
@EPICsliceOFcake Also, big corporations and big banks are in bed with big government. Corporations give big $ to politicians and hire lobbyists to get laws on the books that blocks competition and actually KEEPS PRICES HIGH making all of us poorer. Big banks give big $ to politicians so they can play fast and loose with our money and then get MORE of our money in bailouts from the govn't. When you have a govn't controlled economy (part of socialism) this is what happens.
mikebri527 8 months ago
@mikebri527 Yes. Whether we become socialist or capitalist, I wish the gov't would just decide. You know why we're in such debt? Because we have Obama trying to make the country more socialist at the same time the Republicans are trying to cut taxes. Big gov't spending and small taxes don't agree with eachother. The biggest reason we're in this mess is because stupid congress doesn't care to do what's right for the country. They just want to block eachother.
EPICsliceOFcake 8 months ago
@EPICsliceOFcake With all due respect that decision was made over 200 years ago. We are not socialist, we are a Constitutional Republic. The politicians choose to sidestep that very important point. Also, capitalist is not a form of government, it is an economic system. Actually a more accurate name would be a "free market economy" which a Constitutional Republic govn't should be out to protect not destroy. What we need is CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT, small and limited in power & wealth.
mikebri527 8 months ago 2

It is you sir who do not understand what you are supporting.
mikebri527 6 months ago
@mikebri527 wow glad to see that people don't understand what capitalism or what socialism is, Those countries are largely capitalistic in economic setting Sweden is an example of a socialistic economic setting along with China. Capitalism rewards manipulation and exploitation, such as outsourcing, ikea (from sweden) had a law due to the socialist government that only allows a certain amount of jobs outside of the country per those inside the country. Learn your facts because you are way off.
Kravockian 6 months ago
@Kravockian No, it is you who do not understand the difference. China is communist. Capitalism does not reward manipulation and exploitation. That is not capitalism. Look up any legitimate definition of capitalism and you will not see anything to the effect of reward for manipulation and exploitation. As I said you do not understand what you are saying. It is government control and over regulation of capitalism that creates what you are defining. I know my facts. It is you who do not.
mikebri527 6 months ago
@Kravockian The U.S. has not practiced capitalism since at least 1913. What the U.S. has devolved to is at best "corporatism" or "crony-capitalism" and the more our government interferes with the free market the more you will see the kind of manipulation and exploitation you speak out against. The evidence is clear, all you need to do is open your eyes and see the great advances in manufacturing, technology, life expectancy, health, etc. have all come about through capitalism, not socialism.
mikebri527 6 months ago
@Kravockian So where is your argument about a "proper wage". I guess you didn't dispute me because you know I"m correct. The U.S. became the greatest economic power in the world because of capitalism. We're going to loose that because of socialism.
mikebri527 6 months ago
@mikebri527 Actually we did not offically become a capitalist state untill our debt rise in the early 60's untill then we were still labeled an "industrious" nation which is the precursor to capitalism but the reason we reached it was due to communist, socialist, and facist policies that were implemented. A proper living wage is where you work a full work week and are payed enough to cover you bills and cost of living while having a small amount for wants (luxuries). America has been on an econ-
Kravockian 6 months ago
@Kravockian "Officially" or not we've practiced capitalism since our birth as a nation. We've gone downhill (not gotten better) since we've moved towards communism, socialism and facism. There is no way to define a "proper" wage. A proper wage by who's definition? It would be different for every person without regard for what job they did, how well they did it, or their skill level. Your statement is asinine.
mikebri527 6 months ago
@mikebri527 omically since the 70's except for the breif reprive we had during the Clinton administration (a mix of social policies and capitalism) where we we almost out of debt untill the republican agenda was applied to our economy (capitalism border line facism) and our economic power plumeted. We are far behind the best economic powers (China, Germany, Japan, Sweden, Canada.) And just to clerify economic power is determined by input/export + tarrifs *national resouces/annual loss.
Kravockian 6 months ago
@Kravockian Your definition of an economic power is also asinine. Canada? Sweden, China? Of all the discoveries, inventions, technological advancements made in the world very few (if any) came from the countries you call economic powers. There WAS only one economic power in the world and that WAS the U.S.A. until we started adopting communistic, socialistic, fascist policies.
mikebri527 6 months ago
I would also like to know where you have been for the past 12 years, seeing as how we haven't had a truly solid economy for close to a decade. Also I would like to know what kind of degree (if any) you have to qualify you to know economic standards and policies since you seem to know close to nothing about them. That is the problem today is that too many people talk without truly knowing what the subject matter is. The point is that socialism can help America but people confuse it with communism
Kravockian 6 months ago
@Kravockian I've been living in the real world for the past 12 years and realize that our economy has not been "solid" as you say because of our movement to communism, socialism, and fascism. Actually we have not practiced true capitalism since at least 1913 and some argue even earlier. Paul Krugman was a nobel prize winner in economics but is completely out of touch with reality. Most of the people like him have said "they never saw this recession coming".
mikebri527 6 months ago

@dave19941000 Been there they suck dick. Capitalism is superior in every what imaginable. Socialism carries along the useless unproductive people who deserve to be poor because they failed someplace else in the first place.
Sturmbannfuhrer21 1 year ago
@Sturmbannfuhrer21 "Been there they suck dick" Sounds to me your thinking about a country that was communist, when I say socialist, I mean Socialist NOT communist. 8 on the top 10 countries with the besy quality of life are socialist, the other 2 are liberal, and the US isn't on the list. Socialism alone is bad, but Capitalism alone is worst, you need BOTH for a sociaty to work, and the US is too Capitalist (2008 proved that). Go to a Scandinavian country and you will see it's better there.
dave19941000 1 year ago 10
@dave19941000 Socialism is fine if you like helping other and "giving money away to the needy". Its my opinion that this is senseless because people need to be responsible for themselves. In a Capitalist country I can do whatever I want with tons of money I earn. In a socialist country lots of that money I earned would be given to other people to "raise their quality of life" but I honestly dont give a shit about other people.Society is not important to me and my quality of life goes up with $.

Somebody should tell Glenn Beck the United States Military has
SOCIALIZED MEDICINE for it's soliders!
If a solider gets his leg blown off in Iraq, I don't think he would have to check his insurance company to see if he is covered for surgery.
He might shit his pants though!

@listen2this wow and the rest of the news stations aren't propaganda machines for Obama, did these CEO go after CBS, ABC, NBC....no did Obama go after FOX news for not supporting healthcare? yes, so be careful of who you call propaganda machines

no capitalism is working for your money. socialism is paying for lazy bums health care and paying for everything they do. socialist countries suck. snd if you want to be charitable to the poor, it called charities. i pay charities every year because i WANT TO not because some socialist government tells me i have to.

loves2spooge144026 1 year ago
@loves2spooge144026
