Well, instead of all the negativity, maybe they just need to get themselves straight and practice just a little bit more. I lead a majorettes group. Honestly, my little 8-11 year olds are better than this, but my opinion is that they just need a lot more practice. But stop putting so many negative comments, maybe they're just doing this for fun, trying to do something they can do where they finally fit in. A lot of things are the coaches too, they can just not care either.

Make sure you do the correct movements on the right counts. Add more complicated tosses, spice it up a little, and create a dance that you can all look well doing, which is not what you have done. Put more thought into your routines and try to achieve the wow factor!

Wow. For everyone leaving negative comments, these girls are obviously beginners twirling for fun. I knowww everyone leaving these comments isnt just start twirling and was able to have perfect technique and hard tricks. Ive been twirling since I was 12 and am an advanced twirler and can tell you right now that everyone begins somewhere.

@littleladylyssa I definitely agree. I started out about a year ago, and I couldn't even toss or twirl right, it took me about 3 or 4 months to finally start going with the flow of things.I just hate all the negativity that people are putting on here about these girls.
Majorettes is not easy. at least they are trying all those saying there rubbish well post a video of you twirling. If they wore there hair back they wouldnt have to push it back with there hands.
DONT EVER PUT YOUR BATON ON THE FLOOR! if we do that then we lose 1/4 of a point for every drop even if its there delieberatly.
And dont count out loud girls
and Dont wear boots to twirl, and this song is quite hard try an easier one.

You've got the basics, but tips are hair tied up so you're not sweeping out of your face. and finish your moves...follow them through and with a perfect point to point finish. Another is smile...look like youre enjoying yourself...also your footwork is slightly sloppy try pointing...toes and lighter on your feet other than that...baton work is very basic...try more things but really well put together...:) should be proud.
If they are beginners they are good but to be quite honest if there not that's atrocious and needs alot of work look at the champs Bristol harlequins they are amazing there is not enough throwing in that poor effort
You were okay but need to watch arm positions some peoples were a lot higher or lower than others but apart from that you were okay. Try adding some more difficult twirls too because they seemed to easy for you :)

@3RockingAngels the way it works at our school is that you learn for 1 month and then try out - there is no youth program. So - there are drops here and there - esp the 1st day you learn a routine, but they work very hard. This was posted so they could review at home - no need to be snyde or rude.

My daughter starting baton twirl 6 months ago and has already participated with a B team (preteen) and did alot of impressionable stuff. My view is that her difficulty level was higer and she is only 7 years old. I enjoyed this video :o)
Dude I have never seen anyone drop a baton before. It almost looks impossible to drop one because it looks like it somehow just comes back to ur hand like magnet!

sucks. Their timing sucks, and those fat girls in the back are clearly the rejects, I mean those are the type of girls me and my friend laugh at...we only do it to help them lose weight. true story.
i agree with riekerock. the counts aren't with the music. like you can definitely tell from 2:45-3:08 that the counts are too slow. also, be careful how you switch from horizontal to vertical.
That's really good for just your 2nd practice... but on the choreography side of things, watch when you switch from vertical to horizontal - see if you can find better connectors so it's a little less awkward... if you don't, it gets really easy for everyone to do something different.
I have been twirling for 8 years and I'd like to say its a good song and a good routine for beginning twirlers. But I did see a lot of points in the video where the girls weren't together. Also make sure on some of the dance kicks your put in the routine (some are for catches, others for the dance part, etc) point your toe! I saw many toes flexed. Just keep working, you have a lot of potential!

A bunch of times you were out of synch with each other and it made some of it look like a ripple. I noticed also that some of your postures were sloppy, I know it was a practice but its important to get into the habit of presenting yourselves all the time. I really liked it though! :) keep up the good work!

Who are you to say our moves arent correct? We are from America. It's different. And NONE of us want to become top twirlers. It's just a hobbie.

@YaYaxx96 I do majorettes myself and that is majorettes, the routine needs some work and diffuculty into but doesnt mean its not majorettes, ive been doing it for 8 years i think i should know.

okay i hav been twirling fo a while and when your dancein to music you not supose to count so loud that u yall insteed of the music. yall know how to twirl now yall just need ta know how ta dance. and was that even practice cause when my scholl practice at da west we have to macth or at least wear our majorette t shirts.

Grow up. Stop being a baby. After we have practiced our routines oh say about eight times, we are PERFECTION. SO, I suggest you zip it. :]
I guarantee you aren't perfect at your routines the first time you do them.

ok first of all there are different styles of twirling this is one where they combine dance and twirling, secondly there begginers you can't expect them to be doing the things that you see national twirlers do, third its for fun and they are entertaining so i think yall are doing great^-^

i agree with riekerock. the counts aren't with the music. like you can definitely tell from 2:45-3:08 that the counts are too slow. also, be careful how you switch from horizontal to vertical.

That's really good for just your 2nd practice... but on the choreography side of things, watch when you switch from vertical to horizontal - see if you can find better connectors so it's a little less awkward... if you don't, it gets really easy for everyone to do something different.

I have been twirling for 8 years and I'd like to say its a good song and a good routine for beginning twirlers. But I did see a lot of points in the video where the girls weren't together. Also make sure on some of the dance kicks your put in the routine (some are for catches, others for the dance part, etc) point your toe! I saw many toes flexed. Just keep working, you have a lot of potential!

Hey I like the overall routine. However if you don't mind me pointing out some things, from one majorette to another?
A bunch of times you were out of synch with each other and it made some of it look like a ripple. I noticed also that some of your postures were sloppy, I know it was a practice but its important to get into the habit of presenting yourselves all the time. I really liked it though! :) keep up the good work!
