@FuriousPixel Maybe if your friend knew how to shoot then that guy would not have ran away. One well placed shot to the heart or head with a 9mm will do it. Your friend could not shoot for shit.
@FuriousPixel right.....you mean he shot AT a guy 15 times, missed most if not all, and the guy got away. because if you shoot someone theyre not running fullspeed anymore, theyre limping. so your friend is a bad shot or a slow runner. i say both.
@GAboy3030 I've had my XD9 sub comp for almost 3 years now, not till recently did I get the high cap mag 16 is greater then 10 should have done it sooner!! And it gives you full grip. ;^) no need for a laser on this gun man. get your self a good paddel holster and practice shooting. you can easily get center mass groups 3-20 yards out.
Im considering getting one of these. In the price range I want to spend I had it narrowed down to the xd 9mm and a S&W Sigma9ve, I did some reading online and found out that the only the the sigma will do is make me a more efficient jam remover. How many yards away is your target? Looks like alot more than 10. Is is still pretty accurate at that distance?
its not so much that its a crappy design as its just porly put togather. I've seen some great sigmas after being compleatly reworked. I'd never buy one and at the price its better to just save a bit more and get somthing like the XD.
Nice shooting man. Wondering if the xd 9 is like the Glock 17. Thinking of switching over, got buddies with xds but I'm thinkin their are really alike. Don't wanna get two of the same
I have two springfield xd's the 9 and the 40, great guns, great prices. But! the Glock is far better; especially when it come to trigger pull and trigger slack, and follow up shoots. overall, xd's are great!
Actually was using Blazer aluminum case ammo in that XD.
I've shot plenty of Wolf in AKs/SKSs/Galils/ARs to know what you're talking about though...I've actually used surplus 7.62x54R in my Mosin Nagants that smells worse...Albanian x54R has quite an aroma haha.
Traditional DA/SA handguns (Beretta, Sig, etc) are nice but it takes a bit of practice to be able to make good hits on your first shot (in double action mode). The subsequent single action shots are good, but I guess I'd prefer my first shot to be just as good as the next ones.
CZs can be carried cocked-and-locked, which allows for consistent trigger pull every shot. I think I still prefer striker fired though.
I own a Beretta 92 and a couple XDs..."get both" is definitely a good third option.
just got mine a few weeks ago. absolutely love it. as far as this video is concerned, IMHO, the shooter is FAR too FAR away from the Target. this gun is not a Deer rifle with a scope. this thing is meant to be of use to you at, 20 yards, max. best would be btw 7 and 15. lol hell, my freind who bought the .40 XDM starts "challenging" me to see who can hit the target at like,60 yards! what a retard. I had to tell him this gun isn't made for that. it's for taking down a perp at around 10. period.
I was shooting at some busted up clay pigeons on the backstop. Wasn't hitting them every time, but I still scored a hit every couple of shots. I've shot XDs almost exclusively as a pistol platform for ~4 years...practice, practice, practice. Hitting a man sized target at 50 yards isn't actually that hard. I wouldn't punch paper at this range. Steel plates and other reactive type targets are much more fun.
I agree a pistol is really out of it's element at this range, but I enjoy the challenge.
A little tip for ya buddy. You're locking your elbows. That causes a lot of tension in your arms and limits the spring-like action to reposition your hands to your previous aiming point.
all good "87b11" just an observation, but hell, if you practice at that distance, suppose it will only sharpen your sight leveling and trajectory understanding of different yardages for shooting. rock on dude.
This is a nice video. It captures the action well. Doesn't miss any of the slide movement. man, that 9mm is LOUD.

@FuriousPixel Sounds like an exaguration to me... just sayin. 9mm is a small round, but 15 times.. really? Must of missed over half.

I just bought a XD 9 compact today. Can anyone suggest some good laser sights for it? I need a brand and/or website.

I own the XD9. The furthest I've shot with it was 25 yards. What distance was this and how accurate is it at that distance?
micjen8152 2 years ago
i've shot 9mm out to 100 yards and hit within a 10'' circle. that was with a G19, i prefer the XD.

please dont get the sigma. nothing against s&w...but the sigma is a shitty firearm/design

Ya the more I read the more I heard that. I did get the XD instead. Love it. I've got a vid under my profile of me shooting it at the range.

Wolf is great. If your gun doesn't operate correctly with it, you need a new gun.

I prefer the aroma of Speer Gold Dot, LOL...burn through 1K rounds of that in a 2 hour period inside an indoor range, smoke out the other shooters...

bulgarian surplus ammo is just as terrible i thought my beard and eyebrows singed.

Yeah, if you're that far away from the threat, you're probably out of danger. If the threat has a rifle, you better get farther away.

or holster the 9, and whip out the Sniper Rifle. lol

I only shoot Wolf in my AKs by the way. ;-)
That was cheap aluminum case Blazer 9mm in the XD...functions perfectly in it though.
