well the one that i bought on ebay was a 16gb model 3g new and it came with 2 cases and protective covers and stuff. I got it for $370. if you would want to buy a 8gb 3g model from apple and already got an at&t contract with att then you're going to need to pay $300. when you start a NEW contract with att that's when the iphone 8gb is $100. But you have to have the data plan which is $30 per month in order to have the iphone. but you can unlock it and jailbrake it just so it will work with wifi.

3G: 128 mb RAM

And to give a comparison: 3g has the same hardware as a first generation ipod touch.

3gs has the same hardware as a 3rd generation ipod touch. plus 3.2MP camera.

If you play games on the device you will cry if you have a 3g and see how fast it goes on 3gs. really 100$ is totally worth it
