  • In the elevator scene there is no 4th floor that's weird

  • @Superxxtar

thats because according to asian superstition (japanese and chinese) the number 4 is considered an unlucky number because it is nearly homophonous to the word death. that explains why some buildings in certain parts of asia do not have 4th floors.

  • @Superxxtar i've been to south korea and in most hotel they mostly don't have either 4 or 13th floor in their hotel.

  • Synopsis is sooooooooo dark water-ish

  • Sching Schang schong!!!!!

  • well, whatever, im still gonna freak lol. I seen it again in paranormal activity 3, and i m like omg lol.

  • omoo where can i watch this? ._.

  • @0XX3BFFD9FF188B487DS - wow, you're that ignorant, aren't you? Go back to school, it will do wonders for you! Have a nice day, dumb fuck!

  • @0XX3BFFD9FF188B487DS Learn a different language if you can't understand it you ignorant fuck. You hate subtitles because you have trouble reading. And yes they can speak English. They are required to start learning it in 1st grade. And not all Asians eat dogs!!!! Mostly North Koreans. Get a life you uneducated racist American.

  • @skierdude95 what is funny is that we all have heard that ppl in some asian countries like phillipines, and i dont remember what other eat dogs, rats or that kind of uncommonly "eatable" animals xD i remember very well about phillipines cz even the boxer manny pacquiao said his dad killed and ate his own pet, a dog; and in the news i commonly hear how ecologist groups saved a bunch of dogs that were going to be killed and eaten xD idk how truth that is tho

  • @MrsCatt11 Most people in the Philippines do not eat dog you know..In fact, as with other countries in the world, it is not acceptable by the majority of the people. There are even operations that are being done even now that aims to catch those who catch and eventually sell dogs to people who either want to use the dogs in illegal dog fights or to eat them. Either way, doing one of those will certainly be looked down on by most.

  • @0XX3BFFD9FF188B487DS no probably not maybe its cause they're KOREAN instead of posting stupid comments why dont you learn some common sense

  • if you are very talented director, and you have ability to create epic win horror movie...remmember......asians can do better :33 xDDD

  • if i were in their position i would throw my shoe at her or something

  • the reason why i thought the japs were scary at first was because of silent hill .....watching the movies have only reinforced that fact.

  • i swear if i see another long black haired woman in another japanese horror movie im gonna freak...

  • @WildRocker001 ....then it is very fortunate for you this is a South Korean trailer, not Japanese.

  • @WildRocker001 its not japanese its korean ;o

  • y does all the good movies hav to be in asian

  • oh this is ms heidi shin from temp

    tation of wife?!..

  • 1:44 spoiler!

  • Wait l dont understand this. Did the possesd bitch kill the little girl or did the mom save her? someone please reply

  • @crazy4muffinz ....there is no possessed woman in this movie. Instead the little girl was possessed. And the ghost of the murdered woman did release the little girl once the truth of her murder was revealed. Both mother and daughter are fine.

  • Can somebody upload this? That would be so nice..^^

  • american horror films are crappy but good action movies

  • im every fuckin movie its the same girl ... ?

at least they look very equal

  • the language makes it funny. sorry.... i;m asian too lol

  • XD hahahhaha I like more D-Day oh by the way this is only for the WWE fans hahaha at the end of the trailer it's same song shawn michaels used like his entrance at wrestlemania 25 XD hahaha

  • Room 404...

    Room not found?

  • I don't get the psycho asian movie fans, I'm a fan of Asian movies just as much as I am a fan of homegrown American flicks, but I am also willing to admit and accept that like America and its cliche' riddled films, Asia too has a ton a of cliches that it utilizes in its cinema- EX. ghosts and pretty girls.

Personally that is why I consider most horror films from Asia that do get popular in the States as being overhyped or poor examples of their cinematic style.

  • @oculiartist ...then you might enjoy this South Korean movie. It's ghost horror not a psychodrama horror movie.

  • well is common to use some supertitions to make a horror movie, for the asian, especifically japanese, is about all superstitions about the number 4 that resembles to the word death, so there is even buildings that just past from level 3 to 5 like in this movie ^^

  • does anybody know where i can see this and carved

  • why the hell are asian movies so friggin scary????

  • i started to watch asian horror a few years ago when british/ american horror lost all sense of originality.........cant get enough of the asian horror genre :)

  • @badtrinity72 fuck the asian horror movies! I cant sleep after I have watch asian horror moviee... and im a asian boy

  • Mmm, the main "bad guy" character seemed to have the same movements as in Ju-on. We're speaking the jagged and unnaturalistic movements, hair on face...etc.

However, it doesn't seem to have the same umph as Ju-on.

  • little asian kids scare the living fuck out of me

  • her nd the grudge will make good friends

  • nothing scares me more than a woman with hair covering her face. I have post-Sadako trauma.

  • @MayaInRed lolol...thats a gud one...i agree with u on that one tho ;)

  • OMG! THAT WAS FLIPPIN SCARY, I JUMPED OUT OF MY SKININ THE FIST 10 SECONDS OF IT!

  • omg shutup and enjoy the dam trailer!

  • i love it :)

  • All of you know Japanese???

  • @liketheuniverse11 ....knowing the Japanese language won't help for this trailer, it's Korean.

  • Argh....

  • this is kinda like dark water and apartment 1303 mixed i think...

  • there is a girl that i always babysit everyday

i live on the 5th floor

    she lives right below me.

...she lives with her mom too ._.''''''''

  • 404 cannot be found

  • @28880 LMAO

  • korean and japanese horror movies are kinda psychological and mentally-related. it's all in people's mind that kill all livings around. there's no such thing ghost!

  • @vinhbethmickie ....not in this case. Forbidden Floor is a pure ghost plot, not psychological.

  • @geekeing pure or not, it's just an imaginary product of human beings. maybe there is ghosts but they are harmeless to human beings cuz they can't even touch a physical object. i don't believe in these kinds of horror films.

  • @vinhbethmickie ...you don't believe....OK. Plenty of genres for all to enjoy. Just pointing out your error in stating Korean and Japanese horror are psychological-based only. Many Korean productions are psychological ie "A Tale of Two Sisters" and "The Uninvited" while moves like "Forbidden Floor" and "Doll Master" are fantasy (ghost) based. Likewise with Japanese..."Ju-on" and "One Missed Call" are fantasy while "Audition" is psychological.

  • hly shit this is scary

  • I think I saw the american remake of this :s

  • @cyberkitkat ...I don't think there is a American version of this one.

  • This is scary....

  • 1:25 Error; the horror movie you were searching for could not be located

  • Lol...this is really getting annoying. This argument isn't going anywhere. I don't come on here to debate. If you don't like a certain type of movie don't watch it.

  • Is this movie any good? it looks pretty scary!

  • this reminds me of dark water

  • theyre trying to copy the rig with this one... the movie looks gay as aids

  • @Og3990 you are big ignorant idiot. grow up.

  • Isn't the number 4 a floor that's avoided in Japan? Is there some significance for the number in Korea too? I only know that in Japan the character is the same as the one for death.

  • @Japaneseanimeguy ...Chinese, Japanese and Korean share the same superstition: Tetraphobia, the fear of the number 4. In each language the pronunciation of "4" and Death sound alike.

  • @geekeing At least hat's a fear whose reason is well-known. If the pronunciation of a number in your language is the same as how you say death it's understandable that people would fear it. Much more reasonable than Friday the 13th. I've no idea why it's considered unlucky.

  • i like asian movies, i think they good ones are much better than americans, but it gets kind of boring after five movies with the same grudge girl with long black hair and etc., and i know this is some sort of ghost for them, but... what else, dudes???

  • man the chick from the ring, the grudge and this all look the same

  • oha.. nice nice :)

  • finally a horror mobie with a child :P

  • little kids seem to be the scariest thing ever...o.o

i did giggle when she twitched and made the squirrely noise.....

  • look at my eerie videos p. coukis

  • scary

  • :) I love how the words said it ,I wanna see it x3

  • .... does it mean anything if I say 4 is my favorite number? XD Like, the number I identify with the most?

Also, in a horror movie, throwing in a kid in the mix makes it a lot scarier since you start worrying about the kid as well :D

  • this is another Dark water rip-off! but it's still a good movie

  • @eroupopper ...I disagree. Dark Water and Forbidden Floor are not the same plot. The storylines are completely different.

  • my speakers died

  • the japanese really have problem with the number 4

Is it because 4 is shi- and Shi= death

  • @AllanKuN15 ....quite right. And Chinese share that fear for the same reasons.

  • look at 1:45 its so funny and this does not look scary and btw paranormal activity is gud :)

  • FOUR, gasp!

  • i dont know why but, when i saw this, i was laughing XD its soo funniii :)

and if u think this is funnii 2, go watch unholy women rattle rattle

  • a cliche story doesn't automatically mean it's bad, u know o_O

  • Looks cliche.

Nice humble family move in with younger son/daughter

    The things go weird

Typical Asian girl ghost with long hair draped over face.

The little child of the mother/father starts acting weird

The parent is the only one that one that seems to be able to do something and gain their kid back

Some rich (asswipe) guy will die

I could go on, this doesn't look that great.

  • @mariotaz ...you're right and wrong on several points. But since you won't see it, you'll never know.

  • @geekeing

So you're saying the trailer didn't look cliche? The trailer is the selling point to get the movie out there, when you advertise it when the same stuff we've already seen, it doesn't leave much to the imagination as to why it would be anything different from other titles.

  • @mariotaz ....were you referring to the trailer? Ifr so, my apologies. Your comment appeared to be addressing the movie, not the trailer as you said this doesn't look that great.

  • i love asian horror movies :D love gore xDD

  • eventually become the Penguin. Enjoy this film T O T A L L Y F R E E @ MovieWatcher[.]US

  • another asian horror same as the others....same scary child, same scary girl with the same dark hair covering the face, moving in the same contorted way, same scenes...zero fantasy, total crap. crap NOT because the movie is asian, to be clear.

  • You know Asian people probably think almost the same exact thing about American horror movies. Same "pretty" girls, same killer w/ a different mask, same old possessed house. Why do you think Korean and J-horror movies keep being remade (POORLY) by Hollywood? Because Americans can't think of their own ideas. Asians rule, enough said.

  • who the hell said that americans movie are better? they're crap as well, expecially with they're mania to save the world in some kind of catastrophy... the quality and the ideas for a good movie it's rare thing today, it's always getting harder and harder to find a good story, always looking for the best special effect and the screenplay fuck of and I'm afraid Asian doesn't rule anything, at least not always. I love Kim Ki Duk movies, for example:) or The Orphanage of Del Toro was really good.

  • Sorry, I just assumed that you were implying that American movies were better. And I totally agree with you about all the stupid plots about the end of the world and one man being the hero saving us all. I' am so sick of those movies. And yes it is very hard to find a good plot these days. Especially in these high budget movies. They think just bc they have a lot of money for it and by using the biggest actors that it's gonna be hit regardless of a plot.

  • I personally prefer low budget movies and SUNDANCE MOVIES!!! Because that's where you see some good, new, ORIGINAL stories and FACES! And, it's my opinion that when it comes to horror the Asians do that best! : )

  • True beans, America is the center of all existence so if the Earth is about to explode, only America is the center of attention. Or some Yank has gotta save the day. Meh.

    Godzilla in America? XD

But even still in every country, if you don't go looking at Hollywood, you will find some hidden gems. Many like Indie films. Should try some indie films (Even American ones) because that's where originality lies.

  • If you look at British horror movies too, they are also like the Asian horror films with intensity and horror imagery.

Hollyfail seems to think that being beheaded is horror or just general gore. When it's just retarded (And ketchup)

  • @madcap66laughs

I hate to admit it, but I also have a pretty hard time keeping track of the characters in these films. The thing is, I don't blame THEM or their culture for my own inability to distinguish one person from another- and I'm sure they probably feel the same way in regard to the major majority of American actors and actresses, too.

  • @madcap66laughs

Kinda getting sick of the 'Americans suck' or anything like that...

Ever watched 'The shining'? Americans can make great movies.. But it's just the wrong directors that got all the money...

And on the asian side, the best directors are Takeshi Miike and Kitano. The rest is a bit meh.

Please... dont be so judgmental if you don't know shit..

  • @smokeybaconlove I love "The Shining". I love a lot of American movies. I'm talking about recent movies. They don't make movies like they used to. And, yeah, Takashi Miike is one of my favorite Asian directors as well. Along with Takashi Shimizu and Shinya Tsukamoto, to name a few. Also, I know enough to make an accurate judgement. And of course they are my opinions.

  • @madcap66laughs there is always one word to say about asian movies: CURSED ^^

  • @crimsonBen Curses and revenge are two big themes in j-horror. One of the reaons why I like them so much. They don't die w/out vengeance.

  • @madcap66laughs yeah thats right

  • @madcap66laughs LOL I'm American and I totally agree xD

  • @madcap66laughs Maybe Americans can't think their own ideas, but at least they're not using the same concept over and over and over:

    - The ghost is always a girl in white dress with long hair covering her face.

    - There's always some curse on some old house.

    - There's a ghost boy with black mascara.

    - The source of the curse is always some well.

    - Is the mother the heroin of the movie, no one else.

    - There's some crazy fanatic who wants attention or sacrifice someone to that ghost.

    ALWAYS

  • I see you’re a person that ALWAYS makes judgments without getting all the facts first. Americans are constantly using the same concept. Have you seen every single Asian horror movie ever made? I can tell by reading your reply you’ve seen about 5 of them. There’s countless others you obviously haven’t seen with extremely more interesting plots than most of today’s American movies. And they all don’t include the things in your little list. But you’ve already jumped to your conclusion.

  • @madcap66laughs Like you. There's a lot of american movies i'm sure you never watched, it's not only the serial killer or the gore (asian common stuff by the way), you can feel the true evil of men through american horror, not just the "justified" ghost or criminal seeking punishment only to feel sorry at the end.

And, America isn't just North America, Central, South and Canada also are America, and those have great horror movies, some without death but with complex plots, try Moebius.

  • @madcap66laughs I'm Asian, lol. Its time this country got rich resources like movie for pop culture time. XDD. Oops its conitent. lol sorry....

  • @madcap66laughs dont forget to refer who created the ring, the grudge, etc...ju-on was definitely the BEST

  • @madcap66laughs agree....super agree

  • true^

  • here in tokyo also dont have a 4th floor in the hotel

  • seems really good

  • Wtf... this looks almost the same like the grudge (ju-on) .... but it this trailer looks very nice!

  • it looks super good. but usualy they dont have english subtiles :(

  • :o

korean buildings dont have a 4th floor!!!!

  • ololo illuminati!

  • @ronaust83 ...that used to be true. But many recent modern South Korean buildings do have a designated 4th floor.

  • ooo!! somewone tell me about hanako-chan!! ive heard of her and i love the stories~~ shes hard to find though lol v-v were there any movies about her?~

  • Im chinese myself, and I think chinese horror sucks... (out of asian horror)

  • So who has the best?

  • Hey Alguen Le Entiende A Esta Baina....Porke Yo No Ablo Japone

  • umm english please jk... kien save

  • Is the number "4" feared in Korea as it is in Japan? Do the words for 4 in Japanese & Korean have similar meanings? I dunno, it seems odd to me.

  • strange theres an ubran legend about hanako san if u knock on the 4th stall and she will appear wuts with the number 4

  • I looked it up.. in Chinese, Korean and Japanese, the # 4 is considered unlucky b/c it resembles the word for death.

Hm. I knew that already for Japanese, but didn't know that the words are similar in Korean and Chinese.

  • ohhhh i see interessting

  • not resembles, rather it is the phonic sound that is the same. In cantonese the sound of 4 and die is "say"

  • not in japan, but in korea yes

in china, 4 can mean the number 4 and it can be written as death.

most korean buildings do not have the 4th floor for this reason

  • why do they all copy the ring!!!

  • boooooooooooooooooooooriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinggg

  • not scary at all. korean horror movies are shit. their ghosts and all are never scary, they look more retarded than anything. the really good horror films are the thai ones, even their ghosts are made up far more scarier than these kooky korean's.

  • that's not true! korean movies ARE good, even if they are not so scary. go and watch Handsel and Gretel, or Tale of two Sisters!

Thai movies are good tough... but koreans aren't shit.

  • the Japanese ones are the best. the chinese too.

  • is the grudge japanese, chinese or korean?

  • technically, the grudge is american. its ahollywood remake of a movie called

Ju-On, which is Japanese. so ya, basically the grudge is Japanese.

  • ahh...

  • so technically it's not american it's asian like most movies nowa days even with american remakes they might change the name but it doesn;t mean it's now an original

  • japanese

  • @SkarlatAsszony Exactly, i agree with u. Thais movie are base more on Gore.. wherelse Korean ones, are always with a hardcore twist! .really interesting. ive lose count of how mny ive watch ... korean horrors=D

  • Ooh looks freaking scary

  • WATCH the movie... is not good!!!

It looks so much like a cheap movie

There are much better movies out there... than this one -.-

  • honestly this painfull copy of the ring and dark water is painfully repetitive

  • whew!!! this looks really scary..

for those who have watched it, is it a good movie? wanna know..

  • trailer is scarier than the movie. Movie was sad. But it was good also. Worth watching.

  • reminds me of dark water...

  • y do most of the ghost r females ? this shows that girls r scarier than boys

  • haha...

I've never thought of it like that..

    and ur right

  • Shit i jumped when the woman was listening to the floor, the BAM! great stuff

  • my god i scared even by watching the trailer

    such good effects :D

  • anyone know where to download this? This movie looks so good, and me and my friend are watching it, if we find it^^ so please answer:-P

  • true, i think that an americanshould watch asian horror movies as a achild (like i did and still od) and then make a a ghosty movies.

  • wHoa i meAn 4th fLoor...hihi

  • this movie looks amazing, too bad i have no idea what their saying...

  • its about a family buried at 5th floor bcoz theyve not pay the rent they killed..

and now they haunting the present family living on that floor..

its really scarry..i have dvd of that movie..

  • actually, the family refused to move out so the new owners could not tear down the old building to build a new apartment building. And the ghost of the mother is seeking revenge on those who killed her and her son as well as seek out someone who can tell their story and give them a proper burial.

  • well - most of chinese and japanese girls HAVE vlack hair, im not sure ive seen a blonde chinese / japanese girl in any movie

  • its a korean movie...

  • LOL!

  • you expecting a blonde hair chick? I'm pretty sure most asians have black hair....

  • That guy is like at ringu

  • I've seen the little girl in something but I can't remember what.

  • My Lovely Week? Sympathy for Lady Vengeance? Lump of Sugar? DMZ? O.o

  • No she looks like the little girl in Phone.

  • @MsMercury The Ring?

  • @suigintou7978 No she wasn't in The Ring.

  • @MsMercury :(

  • ok.. i think girls with black hair covering face as ghosts are getting very old :P

  • im chinese. but the number four means to die. so it applies to this movie, i assume?

  • yes it does, after all, the 4th floor doesn't exist in the mortal realm, only in the realms of the dead

  • Is that the same little girl from The Red Shoes?

  • Nope =)

  • i saw all 4 horror tales in eng subs........and i would say this one and february 29th is the best!!!!! i kinda think feb 29th is better.....since itsh a bit scarier i think
