  • @ExtraSmellyNatalie we used 12 lb dumbells, but we started using lighter ones (8lbs) :) the 15-20 rep range is perfect for increasing metabolism, challenging the muscle, without the bulk of a 3-6 rep style workout

  • I recently stopped swimming because I tore the cartilage in my shoulder and I have a major problem with my back legs and the front,what do I need to do to tone it,and what foods do I need to lose weight.Because summer is coming very soon!

  • @fashionandfood they have a bunch of other videos (plus parts of this one) where it's just the person, so I'm sure you could combine those things into one workout if you wanted :)

Im getting married soon and lets just say Im not the thinnest person in the world. =( My Mom said that she would happily buy my wedding gown, but not until I drop a ton of weight. I have 2 years to go, so Im hoping thats enough time. Anyways, My fiance and I plan on going to Playa del carmen mexico for our honeymoon! But My issue is that I have HUGE calves, all muscle, but how can I make them smaller???

  • @sp09x you can lay on your side and do leg abducters-- just lift your leg up and down. it's not as hard, but eventually you will feel the burn.

  • @mxbeauty18 depends on the person-- but for me (katrina) it's about 500 calories. REMEMBER strength training increases your metabolism-- so you are burning calories all day too!!! you should feel warm after your workout :)

  • @JazminSapienza The only type of workouts that will get rid of stubborn areas of fat are full body workouts. These burn the most calories. Mix it up with a combination of resistance exercises and cardio. Maybe try Kettlebells? You can't make your body burn fat from one specific area. If muffin tops are where the most of your fat is, this will be the last area to be depleted fully. So you must perservere :) I have loads of kettlebell and bodyweight workouts, if you want to have a look. Regards M

    But just a suggestion..i am new to working out and only workout at home.I am joining a gym new week (gulp) . could you do a video for beginners in the gym. i cannot afford one of the personnel trainers so am a bit lost on where to begin...should i do 30-40 minutes cardio ? and which machines are most effective at losing weight?Should i then do weights?

    btw i trying to loose about 25-30lbs.

  • Do you think a beginner could do this exercise 2-3 days for the week? I'll combine it with walking every day (that's the level of cardio i can tolerate atm) for 45 minutes in the morning. I'll do this bootycamp workout in the evening/night.

  • @blondiechicknz we used 8lbs -- it was enough that at reps 13,14 and 15 were pretty tough!!! esp the second time around :)
