believe me: guthrie is not the "Look! I can do tapping - guy". he just combines technique and feeling very well. he's not the one that wants to do a good show or something (like vai :P). it's a sad thing that every guitarist who starts playing fast is reproached for being a guitar -machine without feeling, though it might be correct in many many cases.

Hey, just practice tapping up and down the pentatonic scale. Then on the chord change, practice tapping up and down the minor scale. It's not so much melodic improvisation here as it is technique.
