No it's not Impossible. An example to clarify.. If you look at a bird flying say half a mile high, it can look as if t is faster then a plane flying at say 6 miles high...Its just an optical illusion.
Thinking about the wind as your driving force it can easily go 120 to 140 miles at an altitude of say 1 mile high. And since this happened above or close to the ocean its not that strange to get into winds flowing at 100+ miles an hour
