  • 'Best Team Rugby Try Ever!'

Sorry, but are you aware that rugby is played outside of England and that, in most countries in fact, the attitude isn't trying to grind it over the line, but to run it? Good try, but Jesus, there are far, far better tries scored than this. Would make a try of the season in which it was scored, but no more.

  • @wildebest far far better? What, 2x far better? There are better tries no doubt, but there's no need to exaggerate so much.

  • As a Welshman gotta give props to that try and have to admit England have been the most entertaining side so far this 6 nations and cant see us catching them, shame about the vid quality and odd choice of song though

  • Good try, but the french try in 91 Six nations was better. Started behind their own try line from Blanco, and finished by Saint-Andre.. that was the best TEAM try.. They did the same against the All Blacks in 93..

  • quality try

  • the third Irish try in the Croke Park rout that wiped the smile from that thug Martin Johnsons face.... now, that was a try!

  • amazing try !

  • Definitely a top 10 best tries ever....

  • it waz a gud try but definatly not the best evr

Ireland all the way ;) !!!!

  • fuck england anyway ireland are clearly fuckin better than the english by a long shot

  • not the best ever

  • good try, but best ever ???????????????????

  • best ever??? I don't know, but if there was ever a compilation of the best tries ever scored in front of a camera, this one would have to be among them.

  • wide to west is rugby league you tit

  • Wouldn't call that well defended. I counted at least 5 missed tackles.

  • good try but search "wide to west" for the best team rugby try ever

  • ive seen better

  • back when england were good

  • england in the next world cup will kill, so many young up and coming players !!!

  • i sincerely doubt that every other team has young up and coming players!

  • Are you fucking serious? Reality check might be in order mate - England suck at rugby now and will for a long time!

  • Fuck off mate, We'll win this six nations tournament

  • sick

  • ben cohen wouldnt rip the skin off a custard pudding

  • Muy Bueno !!!! - - - P U M A S - - -

  • that was an awsome try lol

  • There are only three teams in the world that are worth watching: New Zealand, South Africa & Australia!!!

  • ye bru ur rite.

  • and England in 2003

  • I prefer Liverpool and Real Madrid.

  • Accrington Stanley, who are they?

  • and your sisters...

  • that try was shit. That happens in NZ every week

  • Well obviously not seeing as next year England won the world cup and NZ could not even make the final. Then in 2007 we made the final again and oh you didn't..... again.

England were on top form then and were obviously better than you. Remember 2003 mate. So not every week is it.

  • To be fair, that England team that won the 2003 WC (and it was a glorious team) wasn't known for its expansive length of the field tries.

Hes saying that this stuff happens every week in

New Zealand and hes right. he didnt say anything about winning world cups, They just throw the ball around more in New Zealand.

P.S Riki Flutey made England and the Lions, things are going down hill for the POMs

  • wow well said mate

  • haha typical pom still living in the past, get over it mate you won the cup 66 years ago, south africa and the blacks have been raping you since :L:P, and i believe this was just before Ireland went on a winning streak against erngland in the six nations that lasted for 3-4 years :P

  • I'm not exactly living in the past though am I?

amoamod said that try's like that happen every week and I just proved to him that they didn't because if they did surely NZ would have beaten us in 2007.

  • You didnt prove anything.

For one, England win their games through kicking not trys (wilkinson has about 30 career drop goals, carter has about 3).

Secondly, NZ didnt play England in 2007, they did play them 3 times in 2008 however, and destroyed them in every match. NZ came to score expansive trys, England came to see how far they could kick the ball.

All Blacks vs England at Twickenham

    All Blacks 32

    England 6

  • the reason why u see this in NZ is because super 14 is more back orientated, forwards arnt as well used as they are in the NH, you guys rarely have scrums, its mostly all kicking, like league

  • bellissima.....amazing!!!

  • Great team try

However i think the BEST team try was the barbarians against New Zealand in the 70s touched down by gareth edwards

  • som fuckin try,it was shii even did better

    IRELAND ALL THE WAY

  • ahah tbh if you cant get your head out your own ass and appreciate it for what it is (a good try) mayby you need to take your own advice....

  • haha! whatever you say mate. I've seen some amazing tries in my time, and most of them were scored by Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. England has their lucky moments, but that CERTAINLY wasn't the BEST team, nor the best try ever. You should watch more international rugby... and try to stay current...

  • mate im not an england supporter, but try and recognise a good try when you see one, and that was one. as for being current, if its good rugby who cares? another southern hemispherer im

guessing. lastly, i dont think this was a lucky england moment, but in a period when they were very strong, which was not good for the rest of us in the 6 nations!

  • The dispute is not whether it was a good try, which it obviously was, but the best? That is a matter of opinion, chips on shoulders aside...

  • Oh what a surprise, an irrelevant little shit from one of our far flung former colonies with a huge great chip on his shoulder. WHAT A FUCKING SURPRISE! Honestly, piss off, no one takes South Africans seriously.

  • you probably don't take much seriously by the look of things anyway. "Irrelevant little shit?" Most ignorant people say dumb shit like that, so look in the mirror if you want to see one of the pioneers of ignorance...

What have you ever done except point finger and bitch about tax with a pint in one hand and a fag in the other? No dude, if ever there was someone with a chip on his shoulder it's most definitely you... most sore losers usually have them...

  • Argentina is the best team

  • LOL !! @ 1666anti

  • ive done better

  • lies

  • Yikes that was good, but great is stretching it, but wonderful play.

  • oh the old days when england were a pleasure to watch and were wiping the floor with teams in the 6 nations, and then winning world cup. Shame we've gone almost the opposite way now though...

  • well played

i wish my rugby team was like that :P

  • Its a pity england scores a try like this evry fifty years. All blacks score ones like this every season

  • great try but I would rate it below horgans Ireland V England 2007.

  • wtf

    howz this a shit try!!!???

    dik hed moron

  • Had to watch it a few times. Simple brilliant!!

  • great era for english rugby, have a great bunch of players now who need to step up to the plate!! Got a long long way to go but there is potential to be a great side!! southern hemispher is back ontop again and only the english team normally have normally been able to challenge them!! welsh and irish look good at the moment but still not quite there compared to SA, NZ and AUS!

  • shit try horgans try was way better

  • rugby has no skill...

if you can prove it has skills then ill say it has skills..

the only sport that has skills is AFL!!

  • you know thats bullshit sweetheart 8)

  • Yes, the English team of that era were awesome.

But now, they're a pitiful joke.

All Blacks to humiliate you at Twickers but you'd all be used to that by now.

But you made the 2007 world cup final and we didn't!

  • Fantastic try. England had such confidence to run the ball in those days.....Why dont they do it now!

  • Best try ever.

Try typing in Gareth Edwards, and see the best ever try.

  • england have reached the last two world cup finals and won one of them, we dont play great rugby but they know how to get to finals unlike the welsh

  • World cup champions 2003 - world cup finalists against SA,so like fuck u lol

  • LMFAO u call england shit when ur american, american suck ass at rugby if u didnt realise freak

  • @mrsogg333 I call England shit and i aint no yank. S.A ALL THE WAY

  • @jpfourie2020 well to be fair the 2007 world cup final saw one mistake by the referee hand the game to south africa against a poor england team.we were robbed.it changed the game.and dont get me started on the most recent lions tour.south africa 2nd test eye gouging cheating bastards that only just won by illegal tackling and disgusting cheating.we played fair and thats why we lost.the last test of the lions tour saw the truth about how worse they were,s.africa got hammered

  • @nickthefox72 Robbed??? OMG typical English never happy if things don't go your way...

  • @jpfourie2020 robbed a bit strong.but at the time that good try was ruled out we were by far the better team.its a bit like the goal in the football against germany.we are amon the best in world but something always happens to fuck us up.in 2007 it was the ref,not south africa

  • @mrsogg333 i dont want to be mean but now a days ur just a little bit better then itlay witch is a bad thing and sorry itlay but its ture and im irish cant say much bad on rugby on that there one of the best rugby team in the word not saying de best but 1 of de best soz but americans call a sport playing with a tiny ball and allowend to throw if we were alld to do that the avarge score would be 90

  • @foleyfrilla jesus christ lad read your post before posting it, your making us irish seem like a population of inarticulate drunks. . . . . . . .

  • @mrsogg333 america dont play rugby :) there so soft they have to wear those huge helmets and those enormous pads so they dont get hurt LMFAOOO!!!! fucking puffs they are england = the best sport in the entire world PERIOD :)

  • @mrsogg333 hahahahaha

  • not one kick!!!

thats how rugby should be played!!

  • @benh31102 surprising for england

  • @floobadoo not in 2002 england were a class team and kicking wasnt done as much as it is now

  • this is not the best rugby try. look at the "essais du bout du monde" NZ vs france (auckland 1994)

  • nope. not best team try at all. from what i've seen, this is the worst team try of all.lol

  • my granny could do better than that

  • your gran must be FUCKING AWESOME

  • first of all this is not 2002. second of all its not in ''corker'' as u fucked up the name.

and its not the best team try.

    NZ vs Edwards. end of

  • best team try ever was Edwards v NZ for the Barbarians im Cardiff

  • i don't understand... all you union fans think it is amazing when something like this happens but if you watch sky sports on a friday night at 8PM you will see tries just as good as this if not better and that is at club level and weekly

  • no man its easy to do it at club level all the players are worse try and do it against the best defenders in the world thats why this in impressive.

  • level of defence has nothing to do with attacking skill... next time the leeds rhinos play on sky you should see how burrows and mcquire command the team around and get treated to some champagne rugby... as a rugby fan league and union i have to say league has far greater team tries. i remember a few years back bradford were playing st helens and st helens scored a try with 20 passes in 1 phase alone so the teamwork and atatcking flair is certainly there

  • defence has everything to do woth it. the better the defenders are the harder it is to score. end of

  • you could be against the worst defence in the world but without the talent to go forward and attack you wont be able to pull off a try like this so as you put it "end of."

  • and u could be exceptional attackers but if run up against an entire team made up of tacklers liek mc caw and umaga ur not gonna go very far. and league is aalot less complicated because theres no break down and set pieces mean less.

  • but the fact is you will never face a team of star defenders so that wouldnt be a problem. i follow both games and find league to be the most technical of the two. also i could say the same thing back to you but including attacking stars rather then defending and it helps to prove my point just as much as yours... and that point is it won't happen. Union has a lot slower tempo so something like this can be put in motion but in league you only have 6 tackles making it a lot harder to be creative

  • anyway im done arguing over youtube. defence and offense are just as important as each other and all i'm saying is you can't do something like this without attacking genius and the ability. playing at club level yes can lower defensive standards but also lowers the attacking standards too so you have not proven much by this. but yeah have fun :)

  • I'm sorry but no matter how awesome it is, I can never compute putting the words 'try', 'good' and 'England' all in the same sentence. ;) :p

  • only fat unfit useless pricks play union league is far superior

  • Can anyone explian to me how a player on his back on the ground can play the ball back like Tindall (I think) did towards the end of that try. In junior rugby, a referee would never allow that, it was probably 2 seconds after he was tackled.

  • quedgeminkey: I think what Tindall did was within the laws. Had he held on to the ball and waited for a ruck to form then that would have been illegal. However, since no ruck had formed he was entitled to play the ball. Had a ruck formed then he would not have been allowed to play the ball as he did. I don't think the laws say you have to lay the ball back on the floor when tackled, what amtters is whether a ruck froms or not. I might be wrong, but I'll check the laws or wait to be corrected.

  • Yeah he had been finely tackled but not held on the floor. Irish luck?

  • yeah its legal. i've done that a few times and never been called for it...but once i passed it to the other team and once the other team passed it to me in that situation cuz its hard to aim thru a bunch of people

  • i like rugby league better

  • holy shit

  • stoogalopicus what a prick look at the rugby priemiership in england if we are so shit why are all your player leaving to join super 12 and the super14 suck

  • bubblechubby do you no anthing about rugby england were ranked top for two years before and after the world cup and argentina are third you stupid bell end get a life you stupid shit

  • That was a fantastic chase by Hickie

  • union is the best cuz u got the top three rugby countries plaing eachother in laegue format dats y u never c any other names other than south africa, new zealand ,and australia in the top3 of the world rankings ,simple if u play the best teams ur cuntry has a chance of becoming the best team ,the blue bulls of sa won the super 14 nd then sa went on 2 win the rugby world cup in the same year

  • nah the best trys are french no doubt serge blanco's try are all amazing and i'm english. And some of the argentinan trys are better like the one in the opening game of the 2007 RWC than was a try to rember !

  • Ah come on these are 2 a penny. Not to mention as an Irishman I can tell you we were proper crap that day, and it was the last time you beat us until just 3 months ago.

  • i think this is a reli gud try but your going too far saying its the best try ever lol reli gud but ive seen better

  • That isn't nearly the greatest team try ever!

  • League is far better! I play rugby union but i would much rather play or watch league.. Union's boring to watch! Always stopping and starting and kicking back and forth and penalty kicks every two minutes! Pure talent lies in league!

Benji Marshall.. Have some of that.

  • You northern fucking monkey - you just can't understand the intricacies of the pure game.

  • I'm from the south PRICK! Intricacies?! What like lardy men jumping on top of each other?! It's much harder to make a break in league than union! Most of the fucking team are in a pile making gaybies leaving about 3 men out in defence. More skill in league!!

  • hows it harder to make a break in union? they actually know how to tackle unlike league. leagues shit, too predictable, too slow, not fluent, shit passing, shit in game kicking. its all inferior, which is y the world hasn't caught onto it like they have with Rugby.

  • Too slow?! League is much quicker! And passing? Have you seen the standard of the teams in the guinuess premiership?! Poor! I'll admit super 14 rugby is good to watch but english rugby union is a pile of shit! We have much more talented english players in League and don't deny it.

  • ohh ur from the northern hemisphere, sorry i thought u were from the south like me. i dont blame u for thinking rugby is shit coz the rugby up there sucks ass. its alot quicker down here and the passing is alot better too. but in the north they dont no how to pass properly all they can do is one out play being kept between forwards and shoot goals. france r an acception sometimes.

  • no such thing as a good england effort or try

  • Great try...but can any1 tell me the name of the song in this?? cheers

  • Prodigy - minefields

  • thx alot...i have most of prodigys albums actually, cant believe i missed it!! shuld blatantly b on their singles album!

  • Whats with every video about the greatest rugby tries/moments being a video about english rugby? God you guys win 1 world cup and you're convinced they're the best team in rugby out there...

  • league is for tha dumbasses who cant play union they even symplified the score 2 even numbers so the leaguies could actually count it

  • That cant be england. There was a ruck in the 22 and they didnt kick it!

    Good try though

  • By looking at the score at the time it doesn't really look like they needed it though. Good try nonetheless though.

  • Probably one of England's greatest tries but it doesn't compare with some of the Baa-baas and South Sea Island teams' tries. It's the kind of thing you might see every week in loose play in Leinster, Llanelli or Toulouse where running rugby is common.

  • Now that was very close to what Gareth Edwards and the Bar Bars pulled off in 1973!

  • its just not league is it

  • yeah and thank fuck for that! league hasn't got shit on union.

  • league is so much better harder and faster than union FACT

  • no, in league u dont have rucks and mauls so the defending team cant get the ball - instead when youre tackled u just have a little spasm on the floor before rolling the ball between your legs. to me that doesnt seem vry 'hard' as u put it...

  • compared to ring a ring of roses for a scrum then kick the ball in to touch for a 10 min break really tests the fitness levels that

  • theres a 10-20 min break at half time if thats what ure on about - if not then im afraid ure talking out of ur arse :)

and the scrum is one of the greatest tests of strength in the game. The same cant exactly be said for the uncontested scrums u have in league...

  • thats because the game is non stop for 80 mins unlike stop start yawnion as for talking out my arse i will leave that for you lot you seem far better at it than me

  • every1 is missin the bigger picture, it says best TEAM try, the ball is passed 10 times and recycled twice and its from a kick off, every member of the team contributed towards that try

  • probably the best try england ever scored, or ever will score, but still wouldnt rate amongst the french efforts or the baabaas try in '73.

  • A very good try but it wouldn't stand out amongst all the other great tries as one of the best or most watched.

  • that try was so average!!!! bad!!

  • that try should even be taken into account for best team try as the irish were a bunch of pikeys who were as creative in defence as a potatoe

  • your calling your own people pikeys? Spastic

  • Barbarians in 73 was still the best, and japans in this years world cup against Wales...

  • Nice and rare action : half of the time they play football with drops or penaties :oP

  • not as good as the 73 barbarians try that one is unsurpassable.

  • good team work!!!!!!

  • union owns league!!

  • this happens in league all the time

  • thats cause people in league cant tackle

  • people in union cant pass or run, so its kick, kick, kick, kick, kick, drop.

in league its pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, try

  • how far did they run in this vid.. 80m?

  • this happens all the time in league. it happens once in union and is hailed as "the greatest team try ever"

    what does that tell you?

  • dont talk 2 me about rugby league...

probably the most boring non-american sport there is...

  • more boring than kick and clap?

    nope

  • good try but nowhere near the best!

    gareth edwards, barbarian, anyone??

still a good try but I´ve seen a lot better.

btw, as much as i like rugby league, you don´t see anything this good in the league game.

  • Try looking at thdm 'wide to west' video or any leeds rhinos highlights from the last 4 years

  • what a great team effort. def one of the best team tries ive ever seen. ps rugby league sucks

  • Oh look, the fags have started arguing over "union's better", "no, league's better", "no, my cock's bigger then yours".

Accept that they're both awsome sports in their own ways.

  • no were near the best try. Try rugby league.

  • Oh look, the fags have started arguing over "union's better", "no, league's better", "no, my cock's bigger then yours".

Accept that they're both awsome sports in their own ways.

  • NOT AT ALL FAKE! Why this isn't one of the greatest ever team trys? it starts in the 22 yet is run all the way, the defense is good and makes about 3 try saving tackles that aren't enough, it goes through 60% of the england teams hands?

  • not even close...

    What a hoax...

  • tht isnt close to the best try ever

  • Is it because it's an England try by any chance?

  • nahh jst teams like nz av scored much better tries nd a alot of other teams
