it was a great fight. being a boricua myself i was obviously rooting for cotto but i am pretty neutral during fights, opting for analyzing rather than going one sided. i believe cotto won by a very small margin. clottey acted tough and all that but then started whining about every single thing, at one point stopping the action three times in a row. clottey simply could not win the way he was fighting. and cotto would just wipe away some blood and keep fighting, only rarely avoiding contact.

Cotto is a true champion. He finds ways to win. Clottey is a good fighter but he is a B fighter when it come to his mentality. Show him the champions and he will go lose to them. He is just like his brother. Good for entertainment and the gym not championship fighters. He finds ways to lose big fights with his hands breaking and knee injuries probably from over training. Arum doesn't respect Clottey enough to give him a rematch.
I had Cotto winning by 1 point,, Clottey should have been more active in the later rounds, i would not have complained had it gone either way because it was that damned close in my eyes.
