I've read all the black white bullshit comments. When this came out as a house song I played it in the club every night for at least a year. Awesome tune. If everyone would stop worrying about who she is married to and listen to the song you would realize that she is actually talking about God. She is singing to him, and what does it matter anyway. My challenge to people is not to be color blind but to be able to appreciate a persons race/ethnicity. The Black family is in serious trouble and this song is a good portrayal of a Black woman expressing love and RESPECT for Black men unfoutunately her CHOICE to marry a white man changes the context of the song. Brothas are often dissed for dating(sex) white women while many sistas are dating(sex) white men and willing to do it in secret.

Since my first black boyfriend, I have only dated black men. They have a passion that makes them lovers above all. They know how to love a woman, can show their emotions and have an earthy, unspoken confidence. Well that is my experience and I won't go with a white man again.
