@StoneSage777 I don't think that someone who bought crysis don't like 1rst person views... That would have changed a big part of the gameplay (covers / sniper rifles etc) and the dev is too advanced (beta tomorrow). We tried 3rd person view a few years ago and we removed a few weeks later.

id say you could change the colors and lighting on a few places for a more atmospheric effect. Like when the spiders came up from the ground you could've added dark, cold colors to create a kind of creepy mood. aside from that it looks awsome.

@eatenwaffle This is an old video. The changes are visible on our last screenshots. This kind of adjustments are always programmed at the end of the developpment, like particules, sounds or decals.

Looks fantastic. My only complaint is that Stargate at the start had a terrible (or non-existant) woosh effect! Take a look at the Gmod Stargates to see how it's done properly. Everything else looks magnificant though, especially the energy weapon effects and Jaffa models.

So, our communication is like big companies : only when it is necessary. The most important for us is not releasing it, it's working on it. Last week we added a new vehicule, a few assets and a big part of a desert level. We never worked so fast and the end of this project is near.

@mnfdsng CE's free SDK is very bad, we don't want to work on it anymore after this project. Too much bugs like memory leaks, limitations, poor shader system, bad normal map, no support from crytek (no patch since 2008)... I think they removed DX10 and x64 support because of bugs. But crysis 2 is a good game, we are playing it.

Screenshots and renders are taking less time to publish in the official forums than a video on youtube (composing the music, deciding what to show and what to keep secret until next update, placing everything in a special area, editing the video etc.).

@SkullRaven Yes CE2 is a good engine for vegetation, but for all the other things it is a bad engine with a lot of bugs. The sandbox has never been finished, last week i had a bug (unsolved) with a 15 textures limitation on the ground of our biggest map. The mod will be the best that we can do with the tools and the time we have.

@EmilxLollipop No. We won't wait one more year to finish it, the time to have a fully working CE3 SDK with C++ modification support (not sure of it), and doing again from scratch all the c++ coding and lua we made during the 3 years dev of StarCry. The release of this mod is planned before the launch of crysis 2. I don't think we will work again on the cry engine after that.
