In my oppinion it's about the things that drive everyone off a cliff. It's akin to Maggies Farm by Bob Dylan, but more 20 years after the fact.. In a Sussex, England kind of way. Also in a metaphysical sort of way, it's a societal, meltdown calculation. A prophecy that has already come true. So no worries. All over. Just enjoy.

AFI does some nice covers, but very few stand out, IMO. I mean, they're generally OK, but nothign impressive.

Exceptions are Jack the Ripper, which is a great accoustic cover, and Ziggy Stardust, where Davey shows he cannot quite pull off Bowie's voice.
