After the rise of islam in the middle east, most of those countries became stagnant shitholes. It's only those countries that accepted some form of tolerance, and focused on self improvement as opposed to spreading the islamic vendetta that made it above the rest. Christianity was just as bad at one time... not so much any more.

Also, must note that none of these Hadith reports concerning Ayesha’s controversial age of marriage with the Prophet goes back to the Prophet himself. In other words, it is not the Prophet himself who said Ayesha was 6 or 9. These reports came from a single individual.

Some early people knew how to sew, others were better at hunting, and some knew how to cook venison properly. Our dependance on each other harbored respect, and thats what gave rise to the first primitive laws. If you would bicker with other members of your tribe back then, they would refuse to help you survive. Morality is a survival trait, and so is law.
