  • Nice vid. I have that cam in my sbc 385. So what heads, carb, intake manifold, exhaust are you using?

  • @mschmitty24 Holley 750 4150HP, Edelbrock performer RPM (port matched and polished), and full dual with flowmasters no cats.

  • just like my dad car

  • Niiice :D I love the car :D

  • Sounds great. Any vacuum problems with this cam?

  • @DansChevy350K10

Don't know if its really a problem, but it does have very low vacuum, brakes still work fine, though when it's cold and idling really low they don't work hardly at all.

  • Very nice idea on a stroke and bore!

  • Very well done, that car looks great as well! Different is way cool. What cylinder heads are you running on there?

  • @DeuceDropper7

Thanks.. it has #7 heads, with a lot of work and modification done to them.

  • how come u put a olds 350 in to, 300 hp and sound like you gotta run cam 2 lol and can turn it 7000rpm some weird stuff lol, the 403 with some 350 heads and a cam would get you 300 hp, just seems like you put alot of work into a boat ancor motor when theres 403, 400, 455 available

  • @EHmasterjedi

    OK, ... thanks...

I wish I had heard about these 403, 400, 455 which your are speaking about.. I had never thought of that....

I know all about 403 and 455 and they were options, but I decided on this, for my own reasons, one of which is because its kinda cool, a stroked 350 olds, and they are strong blocks, and make a good bit of torque, and a small block olds is what was already in there so was an eeasy replacement.

  • @donovan123123 I am with you, I have a 79 trans am with a stroked 403. The same stroke you have come out to a 421.8 for me. I wanted to keep the original motor as well. My motor made 570 hp and 540 trq..

  • damn...sounds amazing...now im wondering...should i have gotten the 284? I got the xe274, but was it the right decision?

  • @acdcdave1387 You can't buy a cam for the sound you have to base that on your engine. There are a lot of factors to consider, and a lot of people are quite dissapointed when they replace a cam because they want the lumpy idle, but the engine doesn't need it, you end up losing a lot of power.

  • @donovan123123 yeah I chose the 274 because of the rpm range. as much as I love the sound, I want it to function well at lower rpm, because I wont be spending too much time on full throttle

  • love the car and that cam sounds pritty good im trying to finish my motor before this winter for my cutlass

  • so were would u go 2 gt the bore dne?

  • how do u put 400smallblock pistons n a 350 did u have 2 bore it out?

  • @MrNiko14

yes bore it to 4.125 and but then you need to turn the crank to fit a chevy rod on there.

  • thats a good lookin car! wish mine was as nice as that, sounds good too. olds power!

  • Nice ride, sounds healthy! Got a 72 Buick with a built 350, check it ou!

  • ya sounds good though. burns a lil oil o well, its a hotrod ! haha...probabaly that cam causing that. with that cam it would cause lower cylinder pressure and the rings not expand reall tight like they should.

  • looks like guides or valve seals are leakin, lil puff of blue oil smoke when u fired it up. o well...sounds good though

  • shouldn't be the engine had around 45 mins of run time when I took the video, it does seem to use a bit of oil, probably because of the lower tension oil rings

  • lol same exact car bro lol i just have a chevy 383 stroker. just put a video up of it. yours is cherry im going more for the pro touring satin black thing. but i wounder how summit or jegs brand converters are? they are well priced but price over quality you know?

  • How do you like the 3000 stall, i know that is what alot of ppl with the xe284 use. Im getting ready to buy a converter for my 383 stroker with that cam.

  • It's alright, I don't really like it though, seems to be slipping all the time, it's a B&M don't know if that makes a diff. I've heard if you run a good quality convertor it's quite a bit better( Coan, or hughes are supposed to be good) If you want the most out of that cam it's probably best to go with 3000 stall. What kinda car.? Lighter the car the less actual stall you get.

  • Dammmn dude just sexy ass TA

  • awesome!

  • sweet lookin ta. we used to have a 89 turbo..was alot of fun. and a 91 GTA. but mostly camaros since 81.

    nice vids!

  • what mods to the motor? sounds badass!

  • 69 Olds block, 4.125 chevy pistons, "H" beam connecting rods, offesest ground crankshaft, =374Ci.
