  • @SeekTruthNOW As an adopted child, I've missed the chance of knowing Her, & I truly Wish I could've known Her, as she was forced to give me up. I know if She were alive today, she would feel and truly*say the same for me, her only child and daughter... There are 3-songs she was able to sing to me (her baby) "Maybe",,, & especially "My Farewell",,, "Little Girl Blue". My mom was clever enough and strong-willed enough, to sneak these songs past her manager.

  • from turkey with love :))

  • amo janis joplin! meraviglioa creatura, così fragile e così forte...come la sua voce...

  • i know this song is about being a little girl blue but im a guy and this song really speaks to me i guess im a little boy blue

  • This song is so beautiful and depressing.

  • My dear Janis, thank you for being here for me as always. I will continue to count my fingers for a while. I love you my sister,my angel.

  • Oh Janis! thank you

  • she is the best ever...

  • nine idiot who cannot appreciate THE great queen of R+B in the last 60 years - really incredible delivery, phrasing - she put total body+ soul into her interpretations

  • @saciji

Because someone does not like what you do does not necessarily mean that they are idiots. It seems unwise of you to say such a narrow-minded thing. I think maybe Janis herself would have disagreed with you and that your praise for her would have been ill-received as a result, though she might well have been kinder than I am, DEPENDING. For all I know YOU may be an idiot, as you provide more information leading to that perception than the 9 mouse clicks. Peace & Harmony :)

  • MY FAVE Janis Joplin song of all time. You can tell she lived it and felt every lyric, every emotion....GENIUS who left us too soon. ~P.S.~ LOVE love love the PICTURES you added. I've never seen some of these. NICE JOB!

  • If you like this (and who wouldn't - it's a great song and an incredible vocal) take a listen to Nina Simone's version, also on youtube. Great, too, but it a different way

  • Totally disagree. She was the epitome of a little girl blue. But then she had all that talent. You can't take the woman out of the rock star. Sounds like a man, or a very young, naive woman, wrote the previous post.

  • @greg1lewin

I agree with both of you. Putting what's been said together, it could be said that Jim Morrison, for example, absolutely was a "Little BOY Blue." The acting out and self-medicating in both of these cases appear to stem from childhood trauma issues. And these issues continued to be repeated and the effects exacerbated into adulthood. For example the suffering Janis endured when she re-visited her high school, and Jim's Miami legal issues -

  • @arfalon Beautifully said. You are 100% correct. WHat you wrote also made me think of Don McClean's "Vincent" (aka "Starry, Starry Night"). The line, "This world was never meant for one as beautiful as as you."

  • I love the way she sings this song, but Janis was not "a little girl blue", she was struggling with addiction but she was a tough and strong woman who was living in a mans world, working in a maledominated industry, but because she was a woman she´s often portrayed as a slightly hysterical, nymphomanic, weak victim. Jim Morrisson, Jimmy Page or Keith Richards would never be protrayed that way but she was a rockstar just like them and started using drugs and alcohol long before she was famous.

  • 9 dislikes? 9 people are heartless bastards.

  • jenis love u.

  • piękne...

  • One of my favorites by Janis. So beautiful.

  • beautiful !

  • Simply the best!

  • This touches your soul!!!

  • thank you, Janis! thank you so much!!..

  • Cudowna kobieta

  • @maleficentdiva How can you ruin your own song ?...she pours out her heart...close your eyes and listen to the music !!!

  • @Billieeve It's not her song. It was written in 1935. It's been sung by countless people before her. Judy Garland for example.

  • [iminent=FxdSzdsRf]

  • i cant tell my emotion.

    this song is,everything her.

  • Brian Jones 27

    Jimi Hendrix 27

  • this reminds me of my my dear sister christine who i love and miss more than life the day she left me she took a big part of me with her R.I.P LOVE AND MISS U FOREVER IN MY HEART YOUR LITTLE SISTER SHAR XX

  • I dedicate this song to Amy Winehouse....another little girl blue, as Janis was :=(( Now they'll sing together, in Heaven.

  • I play this when my life feels terrible and janis is always there to help me through it. Thank you Janis. If only she could see how truely beautiful she was to us.

  • @MSqueen gloomy but inspite of that good for you and THANK`S JANIS for me too it`s a special interaction; maybe realitionship me I love and respect Janis deeply

  • It's like she's speaking to me <3 My parents split because of my dad's addiction and his lack of working. He did more than leave me he betrayed me. that bad, the wound he left in my heart and soul can never be healed. But i hear this song and I cry instantly but I smile because of how far I've gotten in life.

  • @MSqueen011

    It is so heart-breaking

  • @MSqueen011 A hug for you, tight... I have had an Army ( assault ) officier dad, and a sweet mom, unfit ... Ok..we're here , correcxt ? A smile-....

  • Impossible to describe the emotion that's penetrating me each and every time i'm listening to that beautiful , timeless and unforgetable song .

    See you in heaven Janis......

  • when i first heard this i got chills! man i love janis! Her voice range was unreal. i wish i was alive when she was around man. I was born in 1996 and kids at school have no clue what im talking about when i mention janis or henrix its sad they don't know beautiful music like this <3 R.I.P Janis <3

  • @mmCait Hey mmCait, I know what you mean. I was born in 1962 and was blessed with having a wonderful mom who introduced me to Janis and Jimi. Often I would hear my mom cry whenever Janis was on and now I know why. Janis' music touched alot of women and she gave us a reason to love ourselves. I hope you someday pass her beautiful music on to your children. She will always be the Queen of Soul/Rock. Gone too soon. R.I.P.

  • @yahoo9439 My dad introduced me to Jimi. He called me little miss strange for as long as i can remember lol but i will definately pass janis' amazing music to my kids :)

  • @mmCait , you really know what the real emotion means and it's great to hear a young girl or boy, talking about that kind of artists, i'm proud of you who ever you are !

That artists are gonna leave you to so much other good songs and music.

  • @city2b Thank you! that truely means alot to me. I mean seriously every time i hear this song i get chills, the first time i heard it i cried. And i think it's good for songs to make you feel thats what music is all about,(unfortunately thats not what mainstream music is about) Janis made you feel man. If only she saw how beautiful she was to us. :( We are truely bleesed with the music she gave us.

  • @acdcrockon1000 God didn't take her from us.

  • I cry with this music. ç.ç

  • @iamcool14ever You sound like a sucker!!

  • being born in 75, i didnt have the pleasure of listening to her as she was alive. but i thank my parents for introducing me to such a AWESOME singer!!!!!!!! Janis you Rock !!!!!

  • not a huge fan of janis joplin, but that was without a doubt, tasteful and elegant.

  • God? Yeh thanks for like, creating the world & everything, but the only thing that's worse than you taking this beautiful, influential creation from us is Hitler.

  • boska Janis..... :)

  • 1*

  • I am almost 60 years old and she still makes me feel young, and sad, when I hear her wonderful and soulful voice. Thank God she visited here with us, even if she did leave much too soon!

  • la amo.. ♥

    amo esta canción ♥

  • Lei è fantastica...mi dispiace per come sia finita, non lo trovo giusto...cmq rimane una rarità di talento

  • Splendid video, beautiful work, miraculous vote Janis Joplin.

  • @Raphael757 have you seen the video of L.G.blue where she is introduced by Tom Jones,it's a powerful, yet vulnerable one, love it:)

  • Best woman blues singer ever. No. Best blues singer ever. Period. and you're right. In 40 years, no onr hs filled the void her death left.

  • @wolvie14 She is one of my fav singers of all time.. no one sings as good as her, atleast in my opinion anyways :)

  • @TheThroney i agree with you. nobody can top her.

  • She spoke,lived,felt,loved,and sung,like she had a naked soul.

  • its a bit too late to be loving her now when shes dead. typical people they do nothing but let you down just because you dont fit in.

  • Down, I go down every time, so I 'll go down again and again...... RIP Janis

  • Eterna janis

  • women in music today need to look to this lady for inspiration cause they are doing it all wrong!

  • @TheBlakness What! Running around in their underware, screaming their fool heads off, is all wrong? The problem with Janis Joplin, "She does not rest!" 40 years since she has died and nobody has come along to make people forget about the, "Grey Lady."

  • my mom would sing this to me..shes gone now

  • oh my, iv just discovered janis, i now know what iv been missing. where did she get that voice from

  • It is hard to pick a favorite song of Jani's but this is up there in the top five ! :)

  • She knew what she was doing...there's no point in singing if you don't have anything to say. She had.

I'm born 25 years after her death, and I like her music.

  • wonderfull!!! marvelous!!! whaoo!!!! i love this woman & her music

  • Contaré y sentiré las gotas de lluvia querida Janis..

  • I saw her at the Monterey Pop....nothing like it! Before the concert, on my walk down the street to the entrance, her car pulled up in front of me and the door swang wide open and she jumped out with a hugh smile, jewels and feathers everywhere and I said "hi Janice" she smiled back and loudly laughing said "hi there, peace!" I did'nt relize I was standing in front of the star intake area! Ha!

  • @Citychild1 I envy you, I do. Usually, the art is enough for me, and it overwhelms the artist. But Janis is one woman I love as much as I love the music she makes. I really wish I could've been been blessed by her physical presence, or at least the knowledge that she was alive in my lifetime. Sadly, I get neither.

  • @Citychild1 i did the same thing at teh gordon lightfoot concerts i went to ( twice at same place) its a memory you wont ever forget

  • hors-de-ligne!

  • sorry but she died in October 1970

  • I was born in 1969--same time as Janis died--but grew up listening to her thanks to my dad who passed in 2004-- was one of his favorites--and go on and count your little fingers--my unhappy--since you passed--my little girl blue----I know your unhappy and oh lord won't you buy me a mercedes benz and cry cry baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wake up she's a druggie from the 60's that sounds like she's being raked through the coles when she sings.

  • I simply love this song...She sang it with passion...

  • awesome...I just discovered her stuff today...this song is really good...

  • Janis is great, the greatest, love that women,Karen Carpenter comes close and i mean this, such unique voices, fab. bex

  • wonderful, now hear Nina Simone sing this.............another level

  • amazing

  • And I know how you feel,

And I know you ain't got no reason to go on

And I know you feel that you must be through.

Oh honey, go on and sit right back down,

I want you to count, oh count your fingers,

    Ah my unhappy, my unlucky

And my little, oh, girl blue. AMAZING!!!!

  • Love some Janis..! She sang w/such an extraordinary passion in that soulful raspy voice. If you can't feel it, don't try to fake it. -But if you do feel what she's singing, you can appreciate the deep emotions that this woman possessed. Wish I could've been in the audience of at least one of her performances..

  • fab song means so much 2 me

  • She sang with so much soul. So precious.

  • Ecco, mi avete fatto piangere, contenti!? :'( grazie Janis...

  • just love u janis

  • sååå jävla vackert!!!

Se murio muy joven....... I loved her fierce voice and her wildness. She was a really cool person to hang out with, from what I've seen in videos and interview footage from her. I wish I could have drank some cheap wine with her!!!! Janis rocks!!!! Oh baby!!!!! Te amo!!!
