Very neat concept, though all people would have to do is look at the actual tank and not a screen to verify the tank.

@GuyFromCoby Yes, because heat seeking missiles can look at the actual tank.

This technology is to be used against InfraRed guided weapons, most guided Anti-Tank weapons are InfraRed(heat) guided so this would confuse these kind of weapons. Also it would stop planes from being able to strike at tanks in the night because they wont be able to see them with or without Infrared.

They are experimenting with much smaller tiles to make it blend in visibly as well as with infrared.
