I appreciate both oval & circuits. One good thing you could say about oval tracks is that the spectators get to see the cars all the time from the grandstands. Seem a bit more closer to the action. Compared to actual race tracks when you just watch from 1 corner and see one car ever 1-2mins.
@CHABBO yeah, you see the whole track in ovals, which is a left turn, then another left turn, then another, then yet another and lap completed.....and that goes on for 2hrs where they do nothing but going around and then race for the last ten laps.....not my definition of racing
@RPKGameVids Much of oval racing history relates to the history of motorsport in the States. As the open-road race was illegal some horse tracks raced cars. That's the history of the Milwaukee Mile (was a horse track).
Like always the Euro vision of racing is more crazy, technical, exciting (though safer) than the American way. What do Americans have against corners??????? Oval circuits??? That is just so boring and stupid!
@GPatuleiaMarques we dont have this any more they tried to make them look less like trucks witch killed it in the USA i dont think they have truck racing anymore
@GPatuleiaMarques that was a old vid of us truck racing and its not we have anything against corners just we have to many ties to the idiotic nascar and so on
@SAACAAS yeah truck or semi racing we got it here to it just is not as known same as lawnmower racing schoolbus racing and sleigh racing they are here you just gotta find them and it is on the tube sometimes just sometimes tho due to it not being to popular
@1442899 O.K --->One Cepsa Truck (MAN truck) today is driven by Spaniard Antonio Albacete, three times World...ejem...sorry ;D European Champion (2005, 2006 y 2010). Antonio Albacete is the "Fernando Alonso" on a Truck xP. Cepsa and Repsol are Spaniards (oil companies). Cheers from Andalusia.
@GPatuleiaMarques I'm American, but I hate things like NASCAR with a passion. We have the Grand-Am series which is road racing, I watch F1 (perhaps too much), as well as BTCC, WTCC, GT1, LMS, ALMS, etc. I live an hour's drive away from Road Atlanta where the season finally of ALMS. And I love shows like TopGear (the British version). My point is that there are those few Americans that don't fit the stereotype. I would be one of the few. Haha
@Aydee2020 sorry, I thought you said WHAT WAS he eating, he was eating that as a joke, because the stereotype of a lorry driver is to just eat huge fry ups.
It is not outlawed, it has just been simply renamed to line haul, and start times are around 1900pm daily. Takes place on any major highway in the united states. Fed-ex, Con-way, Central Trans, Roadway, Yellow, New Penn, A Duie Pyle, Old Dominion.
I did it for a few years and that is exactly what it is. Far as I can go, Fast as I can....everyone has the same mindset and we do everything short of touching, blocking, inside passing and then defensive blocking....it was kind of fun..
Our trucks are so much bigger than the Euro trucks...with that said I would LOVE to see American-style trucks do this. Big ol' Peterbuilts, Freightliners, and Kenworths.
these are racing trucks, and therefore stripped of all of those sleeping compartments and other luxuries
not to mention I don't know how well they will be able to make those huge american trucks go around corners, lord knows the big 60's musclecars with leafsprings and a heavy cast iron V8 were known to have bad cornering
Yeah, I know that they get day-cab style trucks, no need for all the sleeping quarters. I'm just saying I'd like to see American style, tandem axel trucks, that'd be cool. You could send power to both rear axels and up the power...just wishful thinking.
nice
