  • I have seen that for myself. There is a real copper solution that uses thin wires which works because it gets in the way of the slug's feelers. I did a little video clip of it that's on YouTube. They're called slug shields.

  • the coper would be more deadly if you used it to slice the slug bloody things tryed munching my bed so slug pellets is my best choice

  • The snail/slug is suppose to touch the copper and ground at the same time which is what makes the electricity flow. e.g. when the slug slims his way along the ground and then goes to cross anything copper, as soon as he touches the the copper, he gets a shock. Kinda like we do with static electricity. You need the positive and negative to touch each other.

  • Here in the Pacific NW the slugs are so numerous that simply going at them with scissors isn't a practical way to rid the garden of them.

  • just chop them in half with a scissors, it's a bit gross at first but the birds will eat them in no time and it is enviromentally kind,

    BEER they love beer and they go in it and then die, plant a small cup in the ground fill it with beer
