Freddie would've chosen Carly in a heartbeat in Season 1. Not anymore.
If you've seen the recent episodes, Freddie has become much more warm towards Sam and they now share a true bond. Freddie values Sam now, and so does she.
Freddie even confirms that his first kiss with Sam was nice, also, Dan confirmed that there is a high chance of Seddie in the future. As of now; iCarly is about the COMEDY.
