i havnt had a chance to run him again, at time i had a 12 sec car. i have a galant vr4 now that runs 11.3's in full street trim at 23-25psi on a borg s366 turbo. ill just say this, it makes 400hp at 15psi...race boost is 30-35psi...if i run tony again it will be in this car...but it will be close. at 20psi the galant is a viper killer.

You guys need to calm down. First off, NEVER underestimate the potential of a DSM. Any 1g Talon/Eclips/Laser would easily be able to reach 300whp with less than $1000 invested. More than can be said about a SHO.

With that said, don't underestimate a SHO either. The yamaha 3.0 is a great candidate for boost. Stock engines from with a forged bottom end from the factory and this is weird considering the engine is N/A. If SHO's came rwd or awd, they would be the supras of fords.

The Mustang spun off the line because the driver, a terrible one at that, is an idiot and has almost no traction in the back. Nevertheless this Mustang wasn't running the healthiest it could and had probably 260 hp at most.

ATX maybe, but even for a stock SHO, I used to eat GT's on my lunch break. They were no problem at all. My victories included: countless Camaros and Firebirds, about 4 Mustang GTs and one Mustang Cobra, countless idiots with Hondas, An Acura RL, a couple of WRXs and one Porsche Carerra. It has variable intake tracts....2 sets of runners per cylinder, long ones and short ones. Under 4,000 rpm's the short ones are closed and when you hit 4k the short ones open up and you have both long and short runners pullin air in. And yes you can feel the kick in the pants when they open up!

its in the intake runners not the valves! How THE HELL would a cylinder have compression with all the valves open? It switches from the long runners to the short bigger ones. Its similar to a 4 barrel vs 2 barrel air intake capabilities.

Kid isn't a ricer. He's running a 500awhp Eclipse, Tony on the other hand, from what I hear, is running a built 3.2 w/20+psi s/c making 637whp/595wtq.

He'll tell you 430whp all day long.  He recently blew the motor due to it leaning out up top. So he ordered 72lb/hr injectors...48lb/hr wasn't enough :D.
